 The very obvious ones, such as power, average power, et cetera, and then some more in-depth ones, such as TSS, intensity factor, normalized power, et cetera, going even more in-depth, you've got left-right balance, pedal smoothness, and if you happen to be using a rotor twin power power meter it will show your OCA and OCP values. Plenty to be getting on with then. Also, a whole host of different options when it comes to the data screens, 30 in total, and it's really easy to change all of those too. So all you've got to do is press on one of the data fields as it currently is, that'll bring up a menu at which point you'll be able to choose whatever you want to go on that part of the screen

 Just draw one. That's right, you can draw the route of your choice just on the screen here, and it'll then choose the closest roads to what you've drawn, press start, and away you go. You can also adjust the type of route that this device plans for you by using one of the sport profiles. Inside it, there are four preset profiles, so road, mountain bike, cycling, which is more your recreational side of things, and indoor cycling

 But shall we get on to the main event? It's the head unit itself. In terms of size, this is at the higher end of the on bike GPS unit spectrum, but that's to make way for this large three inch color screen. Also, there's a large internal battery, which will power this thing for a full 16 hours. 40 hours, in fact, if you go for the low power mode option

Great screen, many features, phenomenal maps a few annoynaces.

 And they didn't even skimp on the USB cable. It's a really nice long one. So well done Sigma, everything you need. Number two, connectivity is really good

 Now, this really is one of the five. You get a whole bunch of stuff in here with the Rocks 12. I mean, you get the computer of course, but you also get loads of things. You get an out front mount

 Look at this. I need some heavenly chorus music for this. There we go. Yeah, well I was impressed anyway

 And four different profiles are enough, you can even add more. Okay, on to number four, there are masses of ways of using it. The rocks 12 is a really versatile little unit. And nothing shows that quite as well as the different ways you can create a route on it

 Repair seems impossible from the US side of the Atlantic. I have e-mailed Sigma Sports in Deutschland with no response. They used to have an office near St. Louis, but closed it

 Happily, the route that it has selected for me based on my preferences is the iconic Celeronda, which is excellent news. Whilst I'm doing it, I can turn on live Strava segments so I can keep a track of my progress in real time compared to my personal best or the king of the mountains on those climbs. Then something that really is incredibly simple when you put into the context of all the other tech we've been talking about, but I think is great and would work for me, are eating and drinking reminders. If you're anything like I am and you can very easily forget these most basic but crucial of functions when on the bike, then this is going to be a great idea

New SIGMA ROX 12.0 Sport | GCN Tech's First Look

I've had my Rox for the last couple months and has worked awesome! It has a been a sort of test period for me because I own a cycling tour company and will be using these for self-guided tours. The interface is intuitive, routes are easy to upload and the display is easy to read. I like that they use an android operating system versus having tried to created their own. I have used this for mountain biking, dirt road riding and road riding and all trails, maps and compass orientations have been accurate
