I am not sure what to say...i got 6 inch utility and 5,5 inch serrated and 8 inch chef knife...chef knife is great , sharp as a razor out of the box...but the utility and the serrated knives are not sharp , cannot even cut apples easily..i am a little surprised....Do they need to be sharpened or is ...

Pretty sharp blade, but definitely not folded Japanese steel. Handle is VERY cheap, very lightweight plastic and feels un-substantial in your hand. This is a deal breaker for serious cooks. If you are used to shun knives this one is below standard. The handle is plastic and light. Blade is nice but does not feel like a normal shun

I like this knife, however, the tip broke, so I wouldn't rebuy this brand, however, it was sharp for cutting my melons.

Great knife, great little knife,especially for the price which is about $15 bucks cheaper than it is right now! Was in need of a utility that was a bit longer than my 4" pairing... Scary sharp out of the box !! The blade is beautiful. Handle has a cheaper plastic feeling but the Inox accent and the weight balance makes me forget that detail. Afterall, it is a Shun blade. Well worth the $$.

Blade is top quality but the handle feels cheap. The Kai Shun line is much nicer but also much more expensive. Blade wise, it cuts as good as the Kai Shun line.

Great blade that can take a fine, sharp edge. The plastic handle on mine got a little loose after about a year's use. Definitely worth the money though

I have other top quality Shun knives. This is not of that caliber. What seems like cheaper plastic/resin handle is too small for a mans hand.
