Sebo is top of the line!
A UK friend introduced me to the Sebo brand so I gave it a go and bought the air belt k3 model. I have hardwood floors with oriental rugs throughout and 2 big longhair dogs + a cat! I knew I needed the power head attachment for getting the pet hairs out since I’ve had the Miele turbo head and it did...

All Around Top Performer
Smaller than I expected, but very easy to carry and roll around. Vacuums very well, and finally I can easily vacuum under the beds and heavy chairs in our house. Exhaust air is very warm, which I would consider a plus during the winter months, and the dust filtration is excellent. Assembly was fairl...

Two annoying design features
After living with this vacuum for a few years I've become annoyed enough to write a review. This Sebo has great suction. It vacuums very well and has been very reliable. However, two things have become very annoying. This type of vacuum is supposed to follow you as you work, but the offset location ...

Best money you've spent in the last year
My SEBO K3 vacuum cleaner. I've been using a crappy Kenmore canister for over 20 years that had poor suction and leaked dust into the air. The room would smell and my allergies would flare up each time I vacuumed. With this fine piece of German engineering, the HEPA filters contain all of the dust, leaving my house dust-free and smell-free.
Just bought a cordless vac. Then had a rainbow salesperson show me how dirty my floors were.
$600 is a just a little low for a BIFL canister with a powered head, with the entry level models (Zero-G, Miele Classic C1 Cat & Dog, SEBO K3) ranging from $680-850. That said, the $550 SEBO Dart upright sounds perfect for your use case. This one gives you a height-adjustable motorized head for carpets that can be shut off as necessary for hard floor cleaning, as well as an easy-remove brushroll for maintenance.

SEBO AIRBELT K3 CANISTER VACUUM WITH ET-1 POWERHEAD AND PARQUET BRUSH
UNFORTUNATELY IN LESS THAN A YEAR POWER-BRUSH STOPPED WORKING. I'M VERY DISSAPOINTED, OVER $800 VACUUM CLEANER IS JUST A USELESS MACHINE GOOD FOR NOTHING. PREVIOUSLY I PURCHASED MIELE AND IT WORKED WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM FOR OVER 10 YEARS. WHEN I STARTED TO HAVE A PROBLEM I GAVE IT AWAY TO A FRIEND WHO...

Vacuum Recommendation
Easy to maintain and bags and parts aren’t too expensive. I think you should find a local Sebo Dealer and take a look at the Sebo K3 $799 and Sebo E3 $999. Both of these come with a power head for best carpet cleaning but you might be able to use an E2 Turbo $599 if you have a small amount of low-medium pile area rugs.
Recmendation for Suction power > anything else.
As far as canister vacuums go, start by checking out the Zero-G F3D ($480), Miele Classic C1 Cat & Dog ($699), Miele Compact C2 Electro+ ($699), and SEBO K3 ($789) if you've got a smaller home (sub-2000 sq. ft.). If you home is larger, or you'd like the features of a larger vacuum (longer cord, longer hose, larger bag), look into the Lindhaus HF-6 ($800-850), Miele Complete C3 Kona ($899), or SEBO E3 ($999). Canister vacuums tend to outdo their upright counterparts on suction at the end of the hose, so they can do a great job on carpets when combined with an electric nozzle.

We bought it again
We only use canister vacuums. This is our second Sebo K3. So yes, we would buy it yet again. We just did. The Seio K3 has the "air belt" which does a great job protecting walls from being beat up by the cannister. It is a great innovation. It is far quieter than the Kenmore. We bought one again rece...
