Terrible "pet" vacuum
I bought this vacuum because of the reviews and how it is supposed to handle pet hair. It is useless. The only way to pick up fuzz (or anything else) on the rug is to push the turbo head hard against the rug to roll up the fuzz and lint, then take off the head to suck up the fuzz using only the hose...
Aqara Hub E1 (review)
Currently, it’s only available from the usual online resellers, like AliExpress, GearBest, Banggood etc, which also means the one they sell will only work with the China server. The E1 supports Apple HomeKit, Aqara Home and Mi Home, and also has all four alarm modes exposed to HomeKit, which will sync with other Aqara hubs with the four alarm modes (M1S, M2, P3, G3).
Numatic Henry Petcare right for me? Help requested.
For instance, I am a minimum of 2 hours any direction from a dealer. When you buy a high end vacuum, particularly for pets, you want to know that the warranty can be easily honored without needing to ship it away for an extended period of time. Depending on what kind of dealers you have in your area, I would point you to the Miele Complete C3 HomeCare Pure Suction or the Sebo E1 Kombi. They are both straight suction only machines with a straight suction rug tool.
Anti-vac-er seeks wisdom
Fortunately, a top quality hard floor canister is only about $300-500, making them the cheapest of the high-end vacuums. The $300 Numatic Henry HVR-160 and $500 SEBO E1 would both make solid whole-house vacuums. The Numatic's got the SEBO beat on some versatility features (cord/hose length), but SEBO offers some nice quality of life features and a much better established dealer network in the U.S.
At $700 you’re close enough to the $1000 price point to get a c3/e3, and they’re well worth it, especially considering how long you’ll be using this for. If you don’t have a lot of carpet, and instead have hardwood + area rugs your options are the Henry, miele C1, sebo k1/2, sebo E1/2.
SEBO Airbelt E1 Kombi Canister Vacuum White 91602AM | Buckhead Vacuums
The SEBO Airbelt E1 Kombi Canister is a straight-suction model that includes a combination nozzle with retractable bristles. This canister is a mid-sized, ultra-quiet vacuum ideal for hard flooring or rugs, and features superior filtration, 37 ft cleaning radius, and onboard tools. It also includes a full bag or brush obstruction indicator, control-switch cord rewinder, and a soft-foam bumper that protects the vacuum, furniture, and walls from scuffs and scratches
Help! I need a vacuum that's great on hardwood floors, also lightweight for stairs + good with pet hair...
If you have the budget the Miele C3 Calima and Sebo E1 Kombi are the same power but more features. Henry HVR160 is also a good choice but Miele and Sebo have actual dealers and I think it will be more helpful to see the vacuums in person first and try them and have a local place to get parts and service when you need it and you get longer warranty in store.
The Sebo Felix upright $649 can also do everything. Two vacuum solution you can get a good canister for the hard floors and tools like the Sebo K2 or Sebo E1 $399 & $499 and fix or replace your Kirby for the carpets. Used G10 Kirbys can be found from $50-100 but you will have to thoroughly clean them and they may need a new brushroll, belt, and bags.
Reliable Replacement Vacuum Recommendation?
I'd personally go with the Miele C1 or Sebo E1. They're both great machines but I prefer the ergonomics on the Sebo a bit more. Suction controls on the handle are super convenient and don't come on the lower level Miele vacs. Buy the turn & clean parquet nozzle or deluxe parquet brush with the Sebo and you'll be vacuuming nooks you didn't know you could get to, haha.
What is the best vacuum money can buy? Hardwood and pet hair specifically.
“Suck hard and live long.” Amen!. The best vacuums you can get for hardwood are either a Sebo E1, a Miele Complete C3 Calima, or Numatic Henry. For hardwood floors, a canister straight suction machine will the best.
