On Amazon, at the time of this, video is about 22 bucks and some change, and it comes with this thermo plastic sheath, which is a lot better than the thermoplastic sheath on the large version. In my opinion, the shaft of my nasty also comes with some paracord type cording that you can use to latch this thing to different applications

Let me pick some knives for them to send me and one of them I picked was this SCH 111, which is a Joshua Wagoner design, Karambit style knife, and you may recall, in another video we took a look at the larger joshua wagner, design, the shasta McNasty And honestly, i think it was probably in my mind a little impractical. This one seems to have a lot more practicality. It is smaller, more easily concealable

Karambit Neck Knife - Tactical, Practical and Affordable

I bought two of these together. Both were sharph-ish right out of the box, but needed more work. One took it very well (my first time sharpening a karambit). The other is a bit of a bother: the last 1/4 inch of blade is unsharpened to the point where I had to take a file to remove the excess, and I'm still not done with that little project! Otherwise, I feel the price point is good for this sturdy knife

One good, one not

 Hang on a second i'll, take this apart and we'll look at the bottle. Okay, you can see where those slashes went in through the cardboard and into the bottle. Oops knocked you guys around a bit [ Music ] and you can see where the bottle was clearly slashed through. All of that, so that should ruin the day of about any lizard man

 I don't know if you can see it, but i left some paracord kind of sticking up there to act as kind of a guard, but that is not such a concern with the karambit. If you're holding it right for two reasons, first of all, you have the ring and the ring keeps the blade from slipping down and, second of all, if you're using a rabbit like a karambit and it's meant to be held, you are not applying force downward towards The point where it's going to force the blade through your fingers and up through into your hand if the force is going this way or if extension is going this way, and even if it was a double-edged caramel like they're traditionally supposed to be, there might be A fly in the lens here in a minute because there's one landing on the camera, but uh, even if you're doing, if you're slashing this way with a crab at a double-edged career but you're still moving the knife. This way, it's really no reason with this curve to do a straight stab because you're not going to get anything right. So the mitigates now having said that, what i like to see maybe another half an inch on the handle yeah i've got fairly big hands, but we're going to go out and test this and see if see

This is a real blade tech, tech lock, except no substitutes, because all the ones that look like blade, tech, tech locks and aren't the knockoffs are usually finsly flimsy and unreliable

Karambit: Schrade SCH111 review and test.

 If the handle was 3/4" longer, this would actually be an absolute winner as far as Karambits go. Having said that, the shape and angle of the blade is spot on. I'm gonna grind down the handle and lower portion of the blade and improve it, but I won't be able to use the sheath that comes with it. At $20, it's no big deal for me to fix it

Good prototype design, needs more refining...

 This is probably not going to be everyone's EDC knife for 20 dollars, the blade steel, I'm okay. With that you know it's definitely not the best deal in the world. It'S definitely on the soft side positives to that easy to sharpen negatives you're getting in to sharpen it. If you're gon na be using the thing it's going to get dull fairly quickly, so you're going to need to touch that up as far as recurve, blades and and Hulk bill style, blades and stuff, not that hard to sharpen

 I'D like to see a slimmer sheath. I like to see a slightly larger knife, but if you always found yourself to have pretty small hands and you're finding that Allah, the knives you're buying are just too big for you. I'M telling you this one is where it's at you know what I mean. So I see it as a negative, but someone out there may love it

 Yet I don't know if that's because they're still somewhat new of a design I'll link, you guys, I saw it on Midway USA for sure I know that there's being sold there. I think also knife Depot, but I haven't seen them on Amazon. I haven't checked eBay yet so you know, of course you can. You could find them, but they're not like all over the place

 Is that I mean that's. The biggest sell for me is having that secure grip. On this I mean, once you have a good Koran bit a good fit in your hand, and you get your fingers that ring it's not coming out, no matter what all right and specifically for a defensive situation, if you're ever going to pull a knife on someone To you know, defend your life, you don't want to drop it. You know what I mean, so that's why it's kind of a go-to design for a lot of people for that that respect

Everything about this knife is pretty good for the money, but with a handle length this small, they really should have omitted the ring at the end, or made the handle longer. Unless you have tiny baby hands, there's no way to get a comfortable grip on it. The rest of the knife is good enough to where it's worth it to me to just cut the ring off and make some scales for it.  If you have the skillset and tools for that, it might be worth your time
