I would just go for a samsonite roller is this case. How do you get your bag into the overhead on bad days? Or do you just check it on those days?

I’d say a nice briefcase or bag. Something full leather. I bought a Samsonite for about $90 after I got my masters. I carry it everyday but not much in it. After 3 years it’s showing it’s age and won’t make another 3.

You's expect this company to have quality control in place, it doesn't if they send out broken items. it was packed like that in the box so didn't happen in transit
