Salomon QST Lux 92

It didn't buck me in any way. I felt really in control. Being 92mm underfoot it's really diverse for all mountain conditions

I just got done riding the Salomon QST Lux 92. This is a great all-mountain ski.

I would look for something easier going. The Salomon QST Lux 92 is really great for a beginner that’s looking to improve, I loved it when I was learning.

You want to be looking at skis a little shorter than that with a limited amount of metal. Something like a Salomon qst 92 in a 161cm or a Elan ripstick in a 164cm is going to be a much better fit for your ability. I would stay away from your Blizzard Bonafides and enforcers for the time, they will just be too unforgiving.

Salomon QST 92. Elan Ripstick 96. Line Sick Day 94 if you can find a pair (discontinued next year). The Reckoner is more of a freestyle/park ski, not good on ice, and the 92 is their price point model with very basic construction.

I loved it but have since upgraded to Rustler 10. The 92 was great for me as an intermediate in Banff area, but may be a bit too soft for you in the Midwest. Also, Salomon has been updating QST line, and the 98 and Blank show they are stiffening up underfoot and surfy-ing up the tails (all for the better IMO).

Will ski well in just about any terrain, will float better on deeper days, playful, lots of energy and pop coming out of corners at any sort of speed, and will be a great ski to progress with. It'll likely be tougher for you to ski straight out of the box, but like i said, you're going to be skiing enough that you'll quickly get used to them. The only other ski recommendation that's immediately coming to mind would be something in the Salomon QST range. They're quite forgiving skis and come in the widths that would make sense for you.
