 When you're pressing into the tip of the ski the damp tech and air tip technology really just does a great job at keeping it light and maneuverable on the tips. So it just makes for some really effortless control.  Hey skiers, Emily from SkiEssentials.com. Welcome to our 2023 ski test. Here in front of me I have

 the Rossignol Rallybird 92. Now this is probably one of my favorite series of skis, the Rallybird

 lineup. This is the narrowest option in the Rallybird lineup. It's definitely their most

 versatile ski not only in this lineup but also just in their options for all-mountain skis right

 now. It has a 90 millimeter waist width so just really great all-around performance and versatility

 in this ski. We have a directional profile with freeride performance and just a really light but

 stable ski. I really enjoyed my time on these skis so excited to talk about them. Looking at

 the construction we have a Polonia wood core so we get that light but damp feel. Great for maneuverability

 and agility. We also have Diego fibers with damp tech technology, a lot to say, as well as air tip.

 So what that all does is it just really helps with smoothness, stability when you start to flex the

 ski and you're on any sort of variable terrain, any chunder or crud. When you're pressing into the

 but definitely a square more directional shape in the tails which helps with just that added

 stability coming from the back of the ski. You also get rectangular full sidewalls which definitely

 helps with edge grip and control so when you're on that firmer snow despite the more free ride

 rockered profile you get that just really strong hold on that on that firmer snow.

 You also have a 12 meter turn radius in this is a 154 so shorter turn radius definitely maneuverable

 quick edge to edge just that playful energy in and out of turns which is great for all mountain

The Blizzard Black Pearl 88s, Salomon Stance 94, Moment Hot Mess, Rossignol Rallybird 92. Any of those would be a good place to start.

My wife currently has the Salomon QST 92 LUX, she likes them but doesn't love them. She doesn't like how much chatter they have and doesn't feel confident pushing them on groomers as a result. She mostly skies groomers occasionally going off piste in open trees. Is it worth looking for another pair of skies? She looked at the K2 Mindbender 89 ti. Would this be a better ski for her? Looking for any recommendations.

She's 5'3", 120 lbs, advanced skier. Likes tough Blues and easy Blacks.

New skies, yes or no?

 One of the things that's synonymous or holds true through all these skis is damp tech, so they use some rubber application focused up here in the tip or the forebody of the ski. It does a really good job at quieting vibrations, stuff like that. Then we also have Rossignol's Air Tip, which you know was famous on skis like the Soul 7, Sky 7, they had that big long air tip that you could like see through. Now if you stand over here, we can see through, if you hold it up to the light, you guys probably won't be able to see that, but basically the air tip on these skis is now just about that long instead of where it used to be

 One ski, quiver style. And more of a versatile tool. Yeah. And I think they did a great job

 That's right there where my hand is. And then if you were to compare that to tail rocker, I'd say about half, half the length of tail rocker and really not much splay here in the back of the ski. So definitely a directional ski. You would probably guess that it's 92 underfoot with the name Rallybird 92

 And then to take just a quick look at shape, this is 100% a directional ski, we're not seeing any twin tip here. We do get quite a lot of tip rocker up here in the shovel. That's right there where my hand is. And then if you were to compare that to tail rocker, I'd say about half, half the length of tail rocker and really not much splay here in the back of the ski
