 What's up, I'm here to talk about the Black Ops 98 Holy Shred and they don't call it Holy Shred for nothing. With a 98 waist and a stiff core, these things can rip down any conditions. Great for a skier who likes to go fast but also likes to hit side hits, cliffs, get some air and even go off jumps. They're really great on jumps

Seems like most of the skis that fall into the 'best of' categories are not sized for shorter skiers like myself and also the logic around waist sizing may not apply so well either.  I'm 5'5 (165cm) 120 lbs.  Consider myself an intermediate skier and spend most of my time on blue runs and enjoy hitting bumps about half of the day and crusing groomed runs the rest here in Oregon/Mt Hood. Any recommendations either for a single quiver ski or maybe two options for more versatility?  Should I be looking for a softer ski vs stiff given my weight and desire to occasionally be in moguls? Less than 88cm waist? Appreciate any feedback.

Recommendation for short guys

 Hey, I'm Dan. I just got done riding the Rossignol Black Ops Holy Shred at 98 underfoot. This is a great ski to go play all over the mountain. It's got a softer tip and tail, so it really allows you to be fun and playful on the hill with a nice stiff core to it, so when you do get it on the groom or you need to blast through some crud and chunk, you can just leave the ski on edge and it'll just go through that crud and the chunk or hold really, really well at speed when you're going down some groomed runs

 I would say this ski is definitely geared towards your more advanced to pro-level rider, but anyone that's even a strong intermediate should be looking at the Rossignol Black Ops Holy Shred.

Buy them at the height of your forehead. For lighter build skiers (my boys) the Rossi smash or sassy (now black ops) has exceeded my expectations in a no metal do everything ski. They are both cheap and well built.

Trying to get my first pair of decent skis. I have been using Rossignol vintage race skis that are a few inches taller than me and extremely skinny. I bought them when I had no idea that there were different skis for different intentions and lengths. I used them on light jumps, rails in the park, and powder snow which was a nightmare but I love to ski so I did my best. 

Now that I can afford some skis, I am really lost on what to get. I'm a female, 5'7", 110Ib, and I do a bit of everything but mostly park, and moguls. I intend to work on my carving this winter alongside control and park-related things. I would like something that can also handle powder, it doesn't have to do so amazingly but decent since I do go to the mountains. 

I'm currently looking at the Armada arw 86's, 170cm. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
