 This board's got pop where it counts So the sweet spot for pressing on this board isn't the biggest. It's pretty much about Two to four centimeters back from the up kick. Just where that rocker zone is That's where you want to get your weight when you're buttering out over the nose or the tail and it's gonna lock in and there's Gonna be a little bit of fight It wants to rebound but overall if you know how to manhandle a board you're gonna be fine You're gonna be able to manipulate it how you want If you're one of those guys that's been riding rocker and you don't know how to press well It's time to learn how with that said jibbing is this board's strong suit I mean think who rides this jet Anderson. He's the king of the jibs So this thing locks into presses, but it still gives you that snap out at the end of the feature So you're gonna be able to do like a nose press pop out do a tail press pop out When you get sideways it hugs right around the feature perfectly doesn't clap out

 You don't have to worry about it Once again, it's a jib board This is what it's designed for and it's a jib board that has snap Which is even better because you don't have to worry about it being a soggy noodle or making your presses look soggy If you know what you're doing at the end of the day, it's a jib board with camber So you can't really expect it to be like a full carving machine The nice thing is it's nimble edge to edge You notice that smooth transition from toe to heel and with the flex you can Lay a trench every now and then if you really want to but short tight quick setup turns or those medium elongated carves where you're kind of just going around things are really a strong suit what's nice is that you can engage it from the center back if you really want to to push it out of a turn just to Get a little more power and if you know what you're doing, you won't overpower it But if you're one of those guys that doesn't quite understand what the flex is gonna do you're gonna overpower It's gonna kick out of the car when it's on edge. There are limitations to it You want to know exactly how much pressure you're putting in because you can overpower it So who's this board for the jib kid that likes snap? It has been a hot minute since I've been on the kink and this thing doesn't disappoint I love the shape of it. The flex pattern is great. You got snap where you want it It's just a good all-around jib board with snap, which I feel like we're kind of lacking in that department We've kind of gone super floppy noodled or else More that middle-of-the-road park board that you can still kind of jib on this is this is just a solid jib board They can kind of handle everything you throw at it

The 2021 Ride Kink Snowboard Review

 Hello snowboarders of the internet, I'm your host Averyn Lefieber and in this video we'll be reviewing the Ride Kink, their

 camber-dominant jib board. This board features Ride's twin hybrid camber, which is a camber

 dominant cam rocker. So you get like this tiny

 minuscule amount of rocker out in the tip and tail and then it's just traditional camber from

 the end of that rocker to the start of the other and they're basically

 It's camber with a longer flat section. That's the way you got to look at it. It's gonna ride like traditional camber

 It's gonna feel like traditional camber, which means you're gonna get snap, pop, load, drive out of the board

 The only thing that's gonna be a little different is at the contact points

 It's gonna be elevated just a little bit when the board is laid flat and you've weighted it

 So it keeps that elevated so it's not as hooky. This board is available in 147, 151, 155,

 I rode this board at Copper Mountain on a sunny bluebird day with average temperatures and zero wind

 There was fresh corduroy on the run, chunder, ice,

 lumpy snow off the run and I rode it with my Rome Black Label bindings and my K2 Thraxis boots

 This is a jib board with camber. So it's not a full-blown jib noodle, but it's not a middle-of-the-road park flex

 It comes in somewhere in between there. You do have a little more flex out the tip of the tail

 Just where that rocker zone is and then right where it hits that camber section

 It starts to progressively stiffen up through the middle

 With a little bit of torsional flex to it. You can twist this board with relative ease

 But you can't overpower it. When it comes to stability, once again, it's a jib board. What do you expect?

 You're gonna feel chatter. It's one of those boards that will get knocked around at speeds

 You'll get a little bit of flapping and you'll feel that a little bit underfoot in run it out terrain. Keep your knees bent

 You'll probably be fine. If you don't well, you're gonna get your body jarred and it's gonna suck

 Well, this board is camber dominant. You don't have to aggressively load it up to get rebound

 You pretty much are always loaded as long as you're keeping your weight centered on the board. The rebound is there

 This is a board that can pop over a slow sign, launch off of a roller

 And when you go in the park and you hit jumps, it doesn't fold on you small medium jumps

 You can even hit bigger ones if you're capable of doing that not really have to worry about it too much

 You notice that there is just really good rebound and load that just engages off that tail so that you can really spring off the lip
