I think it's two octaves up or a whole octave up, one of the two and we've got the speed at normal, time at normal and we're going to just blend it quite low so when we blend on the Tensor what I've found is that even at quite low settings the Tensor is quite prominent so I've turned the blend down to just over probably 15-20% and what you'll hear is a really lush higher octave over what we're playing

 So again we'll just add a bit of delay and reverb in and this is what that sounds like. So the feedback from the Tensor is actually reversed on that setting. If we add some randomisation in you'll hear now that after that slight pause and when the Tensor kicks in you'll hear the pitch randomised.

Secrets of the Red Panda TENSOR pedal

 Let's talk about the Red Panda Tensor. It's essentially my crazy pedal. It can pitch shift,

 it can randomise so you can create some really cool glitch effects on there too. You can

 have momentary mode or latch mode to bring it in for a split second when you hold the

 pedal down, or to hold it and play for a duration. So let's just dive in and have a look at some

 of the sounds that we use. Ok so let's try creating a loop on the left hand side. We'll

 overdub some pieces and then manipulate it by changing some of the sounds.

What pedals do you find to be simply a joy to use?

They have so many out-there pedals that other companies don’t even come close to. I recently got the Ravish Sitar kind of on a whim because the price was too good to pass up and I have to say I am absolutely blown away at the amazing sounds coming out of it, not even just the typical sitar sounds. Also going in the weird direction that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed and am constantly impressed with are the Red Panda Tensor (definitely one of a kind) and SolidGoldFX Nu-33 (this thing has so many cool little tricks you can get out of it).
