Its large, nonskid base held 8-, 9-, and 10-inch pies perfectly in place, even on bumpy car rides. I love it until I saw the holes!

 Problem 2: the handle not being strong enough to take the weight of cupcakes and/or cake during transporting. Solution: I realize a lot of people have lost their baking masterpiece due to this issue so your disappointment is justified. But one look at this carrier and you can tell it will be risky to carry it by only the handle. The carrier is fairly big in size and it has to be to transfer 24 cupcakes

That’s the price you pay for the convenience of the capacity you get since most carriers can only accommodate 12 cupcakes. Also, with baked goods (especially cupcakes and cakes), you should always use precaution and place one hand under the carrier

The pros are worth the 2 cons

Sturdy, well made holder but lacking in a few areas.

I bought this carrier because I have one that's too short and squishes my cakes. That certainly won't be a problem with this; it's ridiculously large. I mostly mean that in a good way.  Pros: Virtually any round cake will fit in it, height-wise
