Pentel P225

I have loved mechanical pencils since I was a kid, my first mechanical pencil was a Pentel P225 my dad brought me home from work, I still have it and I use it almost every day. I always had the cheaper mechanical pencils in school(minus the P225) and recently I started collecting nicer drafting style ones. I had been looking for another P225 to add to the fleet and I found this one pretty much for the price of a loose one which was pretty cool.

This pencil has a very light feel in the hand and is thinner than a lot of mechanical pencils on the market. The P225 is my main nostalgia pencil, and I used a black P225 like this one throughout high school and college. The Pentel 11 is one of my favorites, and so far is the only one I have with the 4mm tip. It is the main reason I went for the lot. I find it more comfortable than the P205, and with the high clip position, nice ribbed grip, and all metal mechanism, I like it better than the P205.

Welcome! P225 is a good one, i personally have always preferred it to the p205 because of its shorter grip to tip distance. What are you looking to try next?

P205 and P225 are generally robust and don’t care. I used them as shop pencils for years, and used to trim the point with a Dremel, so the pipe wouldn’t get bent when the pencil rolled off the bench and hit the deck.
