Coming up the sleeve, we have the hood, which as I said has no tightening strap, which is somewhat annoying.

In summary, this jacket, I would give it easily a 10 out of 10. I've had no issues with it.

Rather than a fleece, you could consider wearing a lightweight vest such as the arcteryx atom LT or SL as your mid layer, or if you run cold, you could consider the Patagonia nano Air!

My Patagonia Nano-air vest. It’s super lightweight but extremely warm. Has 3 pockets and will pack up inside one to turn into a little pillow. Can pass for smart casual in a pinch but rugged enough to handle light rain and bad weather.

I did also opt for Patagonia's Nano Air hoody this season too over an Atom LT or Proton LT, though that said, I wouldn't say it's actually better than the Proton LT, just style wise it suited me better as it's more casual friendly. For pure outdoors use, maybe I'd have went Proton. Better is a hard thing to nail down, objectively.

I got it super cheap on sale, and it goes well with my Allpa. It packs into like a really small bag/a pocket, and the weather resistance treatment means the down is fine with some dampness from rain/freezing rain/snow.

:) It is so warm! Warm down to 35° I'd say. I walk to work and run home, so I wanted something that would keep me warm in the morning and pack light. Worked out perfectly.
