 The coin pocket on the other side is actually quite shallow and I guess this is to make reaching the coins that you put in there easier to get. The pants are very well constructed and really do feel bottom proof. They have rivets in high tension areas that make them feel like a 21st century gene, which is what outlier was trying to do with these. Finally, these do have a durable water resistant coating which is eco-friendly and it works exceptionally well

 As you can see here, water beads right off and can be wiped away without causing any stains. I should also mention that they dry very quickly as well. The fabric feels great and exceptionally durable and I really look forward to breaking these in a bit more and wearing them for years to come. Do leave a comment below

 Getting to the fit: These are a relatively slim cut, and while I usually wear a size 30 or 31 in some of the outline gear for these ones, I was a size 32 which seemed to fit best through the legs, but is slightly loose in the waist. Perhaps I have put on a bit of weight over the lockdown, which might explain the fit changes, although with the bomb Works pants from Outlier, a size 31 does fit me very nicely through the waist and is a bit boxy through the legs, but I think it's because those are a box you cut, whereas these are more of a slim cut. After wearing them for a couple of weeks, I can say that they don't really stretch out a whole lot, at least not as much as the slim dungarees do. They do feel like they're getting more comfortable every time I wear them, and I think in the same way that raw denim breaks in these will break in in the same way

Outlier Bomb Dungarees Review (2022)

If I had one pair of pants they would be SDs. You can reach for them in any situation and won't go too wrong. When I don't know what to wear, I go for these. Durable and comfortable and all that. Better than jeans in every category. I really only regret them in the summer when it gets hot out. 

If I had 2 I would add FWs. They are super durable and work much better in the summer. They are my go-to for camping and hiking because they dry fast and resist moisture from sweat. They do snag on thorns though, so I have to stay out of the dense brush. 

If I had 3 I would add StDs. I find the durability of them to be liberating. They look good but I like to use them for heavy outdoor work. They are my cold weather go-to as well. They just don't do so great in the summer, and they aren't super comfy. 

If I had 4 I would add ILP. I always reach for them in the summer. I regret it when I forget. The comfort is magic for sure. I travel with them always. How long will the magic last? I hope they get made for a long time!

I actually wear OG classics and ILP the most. Or Yes pants for right now. Ironically, I wear SDs the least. lol I think the only thing sorta missing for me is deep cold situations. I still have to layer for that.

Bombworks are probably the best pants I've ever owned. I'm a huge fan. They're like Dickies 873s tailored correctly with premium fabric. My only issue is inconsistent wrinkling when cuffing them (suppose I should just get them tailored, though)

**Points**
- Basically, these are the "works" fit using Bombtwill. Lovers of Duckworks might be familiar with the fit, which is a relaxed workwear fit. 
- Unlike 100% cotton Duckcloth, Bombtwill has stretch, although the stretch feels less compared to F.Cloth despite having 1% more elastane. I suspect this is largely due to the 360gsm fabric weight.
- Bombtwill has to be my favorite material from Outlier recently, especially since I am getting into workwear like Carhartt. It just has the right balance of durability and comfort (with the stretch) for me. I kinda hope that Outlier will look into Bombtwill shorts next season because those will be... da bomb.
- Nifty little hidden dime pocket above the back pocket on the wearer's right. I personally don't use it since the position is so unique that it might mess up my muscle memory when wearing other pants.
- Fit is true to size but size up if you are in-between sizes. I'm a 34 in SDs, and I feel a little tension when I am sitting in 34s for these. When I am standing, they are perfect. I suspect the waist will loosen a little with more wear and will update the post if it does/doesn't.
- Have only been wearing it for a couple of weeks now. There is a brief break-in period and it feels more comfortable as you wear it, kinda like denim.

Bombworks Review

I've been eyeing bombworks and yes pants which have an inseam of 32" and 31" respectively, but the former standard of 33-34" inseams worked much better for my lanky ass. I remember some previous outlier offerings had a double turnback hem which allowed you to extend the inseam a bit, but haven't seen that feature listed in the newer offerings.

 Can anyone who owns yes pants or bombworks comment on their hem? Haven't found anything conclusive in my lurking. Thanks!

I recommend trying the Bombworks, probably the best pants currently offered by Outlier. Bombtwill is just a ton better than Workcloth (Slim Dungarees) when it comes to being strong and pleasant to wear, and has far more character and life to it than F.Cloth (Futuredarts).

I've been looking at Outliers for a while now. Figured I'd give it a shot here first.

I have a terrible time sizing pants. I own a dresser full of pants that I do not wear because they are too wide below the knee, too tight at the thigh, or too short of inseams...

The only two pairs I wear now are JCrew mainline (L0175) dark wash jeans in flex (34" x 32") and a pair of American Giant Roughneck (34" x 32")

I'm a 34" waist, usually, but slim/regular/tailored/athletic is always hard for me to decide on. My thighs are athletic/larger (26" diameter) and my calves are fairly large too (17" diameter)

I think Slim Dungarees are going to be too tight, so I'm thinking Furturedarts or Bomb Dungarees. The size charts on Outlier have me believing those are safe?

Anyone else with a similar build? What works for you?

I ordered BombDungarees, SlimDungarees, and BombWorks. All in size 34.

A buddy of mine actually has the FutureWorks, but said his travel partner in Asia was larger framed and had no problem in the SlimDungarees. I figured it was low risk to try all three and return what doesn&#39;t fit.

Meanwhile, I found a pair of American Giant Roughneck pants in my exact size in a different color than what I currently own on PoshMark, for cheap! So if all else fails, I will be adding one pair of pants to my closet this month.

I do hope the Outliers work out. I&#39;ll likely be returning at least one of them (can&#39;t imagine all three will fit). I&#39;m not feeling to confident in the SDs fitting, but figured it was worth a try since they are highly recommended around the forum.

Wish me luck! I will report back with another update incase any other futbol/football/rugby players find this thread and need help choosing a style.

EDIT 2: Okay by box showed up in two days, that&#39;s amazing as it is...

I just tried on the Slim Dungarees, the Bomb Works, and the Bomb Dungarees. I will refer to these as SD, BW, BD respectively.

SD fit REALLY well everywhere but the waist. This surprised me, I&#39;m a 34 waist with a belt. Perhaps all my other pants have just stretched over time, but these were tight in the waist. Too tight to be comfortable - do SDs stretch in the waist over time? between washes? Maybe I just need to return for a 35?

BW was WAY too wide in the legs. Also surprised by this, they felt like extra-wide dickies or something. Going to return these.

BD were tighter in the legs than the SD, again surprised. I figured the SD were the slimmest, but the BD were definitely a tighter fit all around. Still felt great, maybe a 35 will remedy all issues here.

Overall, very happy. I also just ordered black in all three so colors didn&#39;t sway my opinions. Just wanted an overall fit experience right now. I&#39;m going to look back and see what colorways are interesting and instock for my size.

Has anyone else had to size up from their normal waist in SD or BD??

WTF Results Megathread - Feb 2022 Edition

Just tried on my first Outliers. I have worn various pairs of Swrves for the past several years, but they recently adjusted their sizing and their 38 no longer fits me. I ordered SD’s in size 38 and 40. The 38’s are definitely too small. The 40’s fit me well in the waist and the seat, and they’re comfortable all the way through… but I don’t love my silhouette in them. I find they’ve got too much room in the thigh.

So I looked through the measurements of their various other pants, and the size 38 Futuredarts caught my eye. Compared to the size 40 SD’s the top width is only half an inch smaller… and while the fit of the SD’s is such that smaller would be no good, there seems to be more stretch to the Futuredarts so maybe this would shake out fine. And they are significantly snugger at the thigh, which is what I want.

Has anyone directly compared SD’s with one-size-lower Futuredarts? Does that sound like a good option for me? Any other models I should be looking at if I want a more fitted thigh?

Almost all the tech pants I see recommended are either a skinny or slim fit, even if they're labeled as classic or straight (see: Brion Pants, ABC Classics). I am looking for a pair that can last me a while but has more of a true straight fit.
