Optoma's have shoddy quality and poor support. I've seen way more "My Optoma \_\_\_\_\_ projector is starting to die, what do y'all recommend" posts, than any other brand. Plus, there's some new Optoma's coming out soon that will make the UHD50X obsolete. They're shipping overseas but not in the US of A, the UHD35 and 38.

The optoma uhd35 has the best latency and can do 4k and 1080p - 240hz. Better for fps online gaming, if hes a solo player a benq would have better picture.

I had to return it bse the projector speaker would be active when using sound bar connected through S/PDIF Optical out. I had a call with Optoma support and they confirmed that this wasn't the expected behavior. Otherwise it works as advertised.
