Yes. I bought a 2017 talon 2 as my first real mtb. I rode it enough to know I really enjoyed the sport and moved to my current Nukeproof Scout 290. I've especially loved the 1x drive train, dropper post, and killer brakes. This bike rips.

Coming from 26” the wheel size does take some getting used too. However this bike is a good base to adjust to your tastes or buy the better spec. I was always a big fan of aggressive hardtail mountain bikes and especially the Nukeproof brand. I find them way much more fun to ride comparing to full suspension bikes and they really make you a better rider.
