Man. The nk65 entry is basically the best keyboard kit u can buy for the 85-150$ price range. Easily. It’s such an amazing Board imo

If the budget is $150, you could get the keyboard of a lifetime and get the NK65 Entry Edition. That’ll set you back about $95 leaving roughly 50 to 55 left to spend on switches and keycaps.

I started looking for a 65% hotswap keyboard 2 days ago and came across the NK65 Entry Edition. I did not have high hopes on getting one but decided to try out my luck and was somehow able to secure one! (Not sure if it helped out, but I used PayPal checkout).

First mechanical keyboard (NK65 Entry) and I'm loving it, but just realized I was an idiot when ordering keycaps and the specific size of the right shift key on the NK65 is different than regular, and any other keycap I have currently is either too big and doesn't fit, or is a standard small size and shows the internals of the board. Is there anywhere recommended to shop for a keycap for this key, possibly with a lot of options in order to be able to match the rest of the board?

or you could go further and get a new case and plate (you need a new iso plate with plate mount stabs if you get one of the compatible cases from aliexpress) too and thats like 140$ or something. keycaps also upgradable ofc whether you're looking to get some thicker higher quality better sounding ones or just to spice up the aesthetic. overall depending on how many parts you replace its going to run you between 60$ bone stock and 250$ fully modded out with a nice set of high quality caps and a new aluminum or pc case, new modded stabs and new plate, with the middle ground between like 80$ and 180$. if you dont necessarily want optical switches there are a lot of great resources on youtube just search for budget custom keyboard like d60 lite, kbd67 lite for plastic or nk65 entry (restock q3 2021) or bakeneko (idk when restock) for alu and there are many others.
