 Hi, skiers. Allie here from SkiEssentials.com with our 2022 ski test. In front of me I have Nordica's Santa Ana 93, which is probably their most versatile for a wide range of skiers in their Santa Ana lineup

 In all the Santa Anas they use an Energy TI Balsa Core, which is a super light wood core, and then they reinforce it with their terrain-specific metal. What that means is the narrower the ski, the more metal to wood ratio, where the wider the ski, they use less metal in the top sheet. Basically what that does in the 93 is it takes a little bit of metal out on these areas of the ski, and it lightens the ski a little bit, and it also gives it a little bit more flexibility. When you're talking about the shape of the ski, again, it's 93 under waist, so it's a very versatile waist width for an all-mountain category

 You can take it just about anywhere. Their shape also lends to this. They have just a little bit of tail rocker in this one, but they have a little bit more of that tail rise that allows you to get over that crud and get into that turn, and then it's got a nice long effective edge to keep you smooth and stable as you carve your turns. I would ski this just about anywhere, again, it's one of the more versatile waist widths in the Santa Ana lineup
