2020 Nitro Magnum Snowboard Review

 Canoe Larson from Nitro Snowboards, and I'm holding in my hands one of the biggest snowboards

 I've ever held in my hands, and this is the Nitro Magnum, the 2020 Nitro Magnum, the big

 boy board, the big foot board, but he needs a board that can fit his foot size so he doesn't

 get toe and heel drag, but rides like a normal snowboard.

 The Magnum has been in our line for years, and it is the board respected most by people

 The Magnum comes in four sizes, four large sizes, a 159, a 163, a 167, and this one a

 It has a directional shape, has cam out camber.

 Cam out camber is a standard camber from contact point to contact point to give you that support

 you need underfoot when boarding, and you get early lift in the nose and tail, which

 makes it more forgiving when initiating toe and heel side turns.

 It also gives you more float in the powder.

 As you can see, it comes in a wide shape.

 It has our mountain flex, which is a flex rating of 7, so it's a stiffer board to accommodate

 It also has our dual-degressive sidecut, and what dual-degressive sidecut is, it's a really

 fun sidecut because it has a tighter radius in between the bindings and then mellows out

 What that does is it allows you to initiate turns easily, but when you're at the peak

 of your turn, you can really lay it in there and hold a good edge, and it just feels, it

 I mean, it feels like this is how a snowboard should be.

 If you like carving, you want to do a dual-degressive sidecut.

 The Magnum has our Powerlite Core, which is a core made of lightweight, ultra-lightweight

 popular wood core to reduce the overall weight of the board since it is so massive.

 It keeps it lightweight and fun to ride.

 Has our centered speed formula HD base, which is a base that's super fast, holds wax really

 And also on the Magnum, we have our Powerpods, and what Powerpods are, they're these bumps

 here, here, here, and here by the binding insert packs that bubble out a little bit.

 What that does, it reduces heel and toe drag and also creates a smaller radius in between

 the bindings to really allow you to lay into those turns.

 And also if it's icy out, it gives you more traction in icy conditions.

 One thing that makes the Magnum ride so well is it has a reflex core profile, and what

 that is is the board is milled out so it's skinnier in between the bindings, allowing

 it to have more torsional flex, even though it's a stiff board, since it's milled out

 in between the bindings, it's more torsional flexible, which allows you to initiate turns

 I would highly recommend the Magnum to anyone with a bigger foot who's looking for a wide

 board that rides like a normal board but carves like a boss.

 So if you're looking for that, and you're a bigger dude with a bigger foot, go to your

 local snowboard store and check it out, say hi, say what's up, support your local snowboard

 community and pick up your own 2020 Nitro Magnum snowboard.

I have just recently moved somewhere with easy access to the mountains and am wanting  to buy a board and bindings for this winter. I have always rented and Im unsure of what brands/options to look at. I am a intermediate level snowboarder, 6'4 200lbs and Ive found size 14.5 mens boots to be the right size. My biggest issue when renting is the board not being wide enough and my toes handing over the board an inch or two too much, which becomes problematic at times when making a sharp turn into the mountain. Does anyone have suggestions on what brands/options to look at?
