 They're still all perfectly intact. and the reason I think they don't deform and crack over time is because there's enough break points in them that allow them to bend with the shoe. So they do give you incredibly good drag protection of your foot. But they also are ergonomic enough that they'll last the life of the shoe and then some

 Right off the bat, what I love about the uppers of the Kobe 6 Pro Tro is the scales that go all the way from the junction of the rear and mid foot, all the way around the forefoot. And what I love about that? Number One: It's just a pretty cool looking shoe. It does kind of give the shoe a little bit of a pop, but also this is really effective drag guard material if you look even at the one that's just been used a ton. none of those scales are really damaged at all

 It's still holding up really well because of that carbon fiber. these are going to fit over pronators over supinators. Ball of foot pain, heel pain, arch pain, whatever. Just because it's got all the trappings of a shoe that's meant for comfort and meant for cushion, but also a shoe that's meant for support

 So they do give you incredibly good drag protection of your foot. But they also are ergonomic enough that they'll last the life of the shoe and then some. And the best showcase of that design is on the upper durability test the Dremel 10 seconds highest grit sandpaper. I mean, it barely makes a dent in those scales

 If you were in the market for one of these, they do fit true to size. They are very snug though, so if you're going to be playing basketball in them, I would recommend going true to size. If you are a wide footer, I believe you're going to need to go up half a size because they are very tight. Very tight

 But uh, her and Kobe were together when the whole thing happened. So um, that's what that's all about. You've got her number right there on the outside. And then both shoes actually pay tribute to both of them

 For decades, myself included were excluded and given no access. and with all that being said, again, big thank you to Andrew, one of our community members. I think that this is awesome. I never thought that I would grab these

 Trust me Like, it's a really nice fit once they're broken in, but until then they're really, really snug. and then if you're wearing these casually, you could probably go up half a size. what I normally do with certain casual shoes where if they are this tight I will look at the range of sizes so I'll look at like a nine or a nine and a half and go with whichever one is cheaper. but again that's just for casual use

 Kobe Bryant. We got the outlet by us. I don't know, man. They released some Fade to Blacks.

 Sammy came up on some sixes. They didn't have any of my size. I want another pair of these.

 But these are the Fade to Black sixes. And this is kind of a throwback performance review.

 Does it still basketball? Because we haven't done one on these. Comparing it to now shoes.

 Yeah. And this is a, you know, six. That's pretty old nowadays. So let's hop in.

 What is this? Like seven years old? Eight years old? That's pretty old. But starting off with

 the traction, it's a really hard, thick rubber. Yeah, this is crazy. So I don't know why

 Kobe's changed. Like the rubber is super soft now. I mean, you can't even play them outdoors. But

 this rubber, you can play it outdoors really hard. Indoors, it's crazy. Like a really, really good.

 Yeah. It's as good as like the nines and like the 11s. It's really nice. You have a really good

 stopping power. It has very good grip. And dust pickup is really minimal. I barely had to wipe

 the knees and we play on really dusty courts. The traction is amazing. Really, really nice traction.

 Nice. So no complaints there. Sitting right on top of that is a carbon fiber mid-foot shank.

 Look at this little soft cushion that comes through the outsole. Yeah. It's weird. Yeah.

 That's just a little bit of exposed, whatever the cushion is, which we're about to get into right

 now. Yes. So there is a four-foot zoom unit and a heel zoom unit, I believe, but I really couldn't

 feel anything. There's no really bounce. It does feel pretty plush, but nothing like in the Kobe

 7s, you know, where it's like a drop-in. I don't know. The reason for that is because if it's a

 drop-in, there's no strobe support really. Yeah. So that's why you can feel the zoom unit. But in

 this case, it's not a drop-in midsole. I don't think it is. Yeah, it's not a drop-in midsole.

 And the reason why you can't feel it is because there's a strobe support and it's not a drop-in.

 So I couldn't really feel any bounce from the zoom. Very responsive cushion. You feel low to

 the ground. But impact protection, I would say, is not the best in this. So if you're a guard,

 it is really good. But coming from me, where I was playing in the D-Rows and the Crazy Explosive,

 which has really good impact protection, I went to these. My feet or my legs started,

 my knees started to hurt a little bit after playing in there a lot. So yeah,

 the cushion set of impact protection, not the best. Right. Okay, moving on to the upper end

 materials. Yes. They murdered a snake to make these. Yes. Or an alligator, whatever they're

 supposed to be. That guy's probably supposed to be a snake. Mamba vibes. It's basically like a mesh

 or a textile under the material. Like a fine screen mesh. Yeah, it's kind of weird. And then

 there's like more rubberized or like a polyurethane kind of material overlaid onto the material,

 resembling kind of like a snake skin. And if you guys can see closely, there are flywire cables

 that is in between the materials, which I did not notice at first. Right. Materials are really nice,

 as in it's super thin, but it's really supportive because it doesn't stretch at all.

 And it, but it's like soft and conforms to your foot. And I love materials like that. So I have

 no complaints with the materials. It feels super nice and premium. There's kind of like a suede

 kind of material in the heel. It feels like real suede too. I could be wrong. Yeah. And then there's

 a molded heel counter. So materials, I'm not mad at it. It feels super nice and I just love how thin

 it feels. Right. How about the fit? It fits like a Kobe or what? It fits like a Kobe. It feels

 it feels actually not as narrow as like some Kobe's are. The fit for me was really super nice

 width wise. There's no toe room at all. And I went true to size. So if you're a wide footer,

 you should probably go up half a size. But for me, the fit was phenomenal. And I mixed with the

 material being super thin. I just love it. So it was really nice. Okay. Lockdown. And

 lockdown was really good too. Of course, it's a Kobe. No heel slippage at all. No lateral containment

 issues or anything like that. So yeah, that was good. Support seems good. Of course, the support

 is really good. And it does have a pretty wide outrigger, but it's not a high, obviously. So
