 Stretch selvedge doesn't do that, stretch selvedge will mold to your body and that's why there's not much action going on in there and I was, I am a little bit disappointed about that, everyone knows how nice honeycombs are so that is one of the main advantages of 100% cotton jeans and you just won't get that out of stretch selvedge. Okay so here's a view of the back pocket and there's the patch again, so the back pocket now the thing I really like about Naked and Famous jeans is that they don't, they're minimalistic, they don't have to put anything on their back pocket in order to make a statement. As much as I like Nudie jeans, Nudie goes overboard with both the gold detail right on the back, the gold wave and also the patch right here, I think with the gold wave and the patch and the Nudie crest it's a little bit tacky and I love how Naked and Famous has always just kept their pockets nice and simple and bare and you can see the details there when it actually fades in. Okay so these are the Weird Guy fit, so they fit mid rise, they fit with just a little bit of room in the thigh and then they taper down pretty much from the knee down, they're kind of Naked and Famous sort of staple fit and for a good reason, when I actually first got these jeans they were a little bit baggy and then just sort of over the years of washing them and wearing them and washing them and wearing them they've really just like fit right in and fit really really really snug

 Out of my three pairs of Naked and Famous jeans I've had and my pair of unbranded jeans it hasn't blown out whatsoever in there and I don't know what they do but I kind of, I don't know what they do to reinforce it but I kind of liken it to like how Nike's quality somehow is so good with making the shoes so cheap. I think once you make a garment or you've been making something for so long you know all the little points in order to correct but I've always really appreciated that about Naked and Famous. Okay so we'll get a bit of a closer look here on the whiskering here, this is how I always wear my jeans, this is from driving right here but they always seem to wrinkle right in this thigh area but just look at the contrast here in jeans so here's the bottom of the jean, I got these hemmed to size so there's no stacking or anything like that and that contrast is really amazing, it's really years to put into this and they've actually really gotten just this nice in really the last year, they were still just a little bit dark around this area even last year and that was after wearing it for four years and this has really really done incredibly incredibly well, here's another look at that selvedge edge right there. Okay so the one thing that these jeans don't have is they don't have any honeycombs at all so they got very very slight whiskering in the back so when you have 100% cotton jeans the jeans are literally kind of cracking on the back of your leg and that's what gives it that really nice honeycombing over the years

NAKED AND FAMOUS deep indigo stretch selvedge

 Hi everyone, I want to do a little bit of a review tonight on a pair of naked and famous

 The model of these jeans is the Deep Indigo Stretch Salvage and I wanted to do this review

 because I wanted to give people out there a little bit of an idea of how stretch denim

 The story of how I kind of got these particular jeans was that I got a pair of Nudie Grim

 Tim jeans and I really wanted to stretch them out and really make them like pajamas and

 The jeans I bought were just a little bit too tight and they were so uncomfortable that

 by the time I wore right through the jean I was like I just want a comfortable pair

 I don't really care about how crazy they fade but I'm actually very very surprised

 If you want a pair of jeans like I always hear denim heads say things like well you

 know if you just get 100% cotton jeans and wear them and wear them eventually they'll

 be like pajamas and I've never ever felt like 100% cotton jeans have ever felt necessarily

 like pajamas when they're broken in and that's the beauty of denim is that they feel like

 These jeans however, these stretch salvage jeans they do literally feel like pajamas.

 Now I ripped off the tag on them but I think the exact amount of stretch on these ones

 were maybe 3 or 4% stretch or maybe 2% stretch.

 I've got a pair of under branded jeans that are 1% stretch and these feel like they are

 So I had a pair of double RL jeans and they were actually incredible in terms of this

 salvage, this salvage fade but I think that this fade has done incredibly well here.

 I'll just close up here on these details.

 So they've kind of got this brass or this kind of golden stitching and I have to admit

 that when I first got these jeans the stitching was a little bit offsetting because it was

 going right up against what looked like a black jean.

 I mean when I first got these jeans they literally looked like black jeans but they've done incredibly

 well now that they've turned a bit bluer.

 Like you see right here the orange, how nice that orange pops on these jeans.

 It really gives it kind of like a bit of a cowboy western look.

 It's got the Naked and Famous button here as well as really, really classy.

 You know when I first got these jeans this one thing I really liked was these buttons

 I don't know if you can see that there but the rivets, the rivets I quite like right

 You can see when I close up right there how well the denim has actually faded right in

 The thing I love about Naked and Famous jeans is what I've always, I've had a very expensive

 pair of Freenote jeans, I've had a very expensive pair of Taliesin jeans and I've had a pair

 of Nudie jeans and every single one of them have blown out right here in the pocket, right

 in the inside and this happened on my Double RL jeans and we're talking like $400 pairs

 of jeans and I've always had to take it to the tailor and get stitching right here in

 order to reinforce the inside and on my Double RL jeans it blew out in there twice.

 Out of my three pairs of Naked and Famous jeans I've had and my pair of unbranded jeans
