My impressions and thoughts: Mystery Ranch 2dap This is a very well thought out bag. It's designed.

Check out Mystery Ranch. Something like the Urban Assault would work, or they have some other aesthetically different bags if you don’t like that. But most have mesh backs and really comfortable straps.

I think you’ve narrowed it down pretty well; what you’re describing sounds like a Goruck GR2 or Mystery Ranch bag. And Eberlestock would be better for your SBR for sure, with a less tactical vibe- I’ve been eyeing a ‘Little Trick’ for a while.
