Testers found that the lightweight 2.5L fabric combined with the pit zips meant this jacket had some of the best breathability in the bunch.
The breathability and flexibility of the fabric do have a few trade-offs. The Ozonic was not as waterproof as some of the more robust fabrics tested, taking up water sooner. The hood tightens around the top of the head from the back, which worked pretty efficiently for keeping it in place, but was less comfortable than some other options.  It'S a four-way stretch which sets it apart from typical rain jackets. Also, the finish here is really soft: it's not shiny or slick like some other rain jackets, so you can really wear it in a lot of different situations, the breathable enough that you could go hiking with it. Even when it's not raining. It'S a super functional jacket

 So if you cinch that down you've got a lot of protection here, a little bit longer down there with this jacket now the hood is really functional. You don't have much adjustability back here on the hood, so that keeps the weight down and it fits well over top of a helmet. You can put it underneath the helmet if you wanted to, but if you're just hiking and you're not wearing a helmet, you can really cinch it down through these cinch cords right here to really batten everything down and to get a nice snug fit over. All the stretch of this material is really what makes it stand out

 Now this fabric here is mountain hardwear's, proprietary, dry q, active material. It has a really dry feel on the inside and on the outside. Again it doesn't feel slick against your skin when you're wearing it. This material is really meant to kind of disperse moisture, so whether it's precipitation from rain or perspiration from the inside, this material really tries to spread out that water, vapor and the water from rain so that it dries out faster

 You need to be active outdoors. The material is really stretchy, so you can be active in it. It'S a four-way stretch which sets it apart from typical rain jackets.   I am 5'7", 152, Size 8-10, 36C with broad shoulders and fairly long arms. I ordered my usual size Large. I have no idea how the jacket would preform in the rain because the look was less than flattering and there was no way I was going outside in it. Frumpy

Disappointed and Returned

 Super stretchy super soft hasn't wetted out on us at all. You can tell that, even though we were in rain earlier today, there's no wetting out on the jacket or on the pants., We're super dry underneath, so I'm super impressed.

Sadly not waterproof

A jacket without a style，Size is too large！！

 I've noticed what looks like this issue in some pictures on the website but this was the first jacket I actually tried on that had this problem. Also, I ordered the stone green color which is clearly shown with a contrasting light blue color fabric around the zipper, but the jacket that arrived is actually just all green around the zipper so the total effect is just kind of a drab army green. Also, the fabric seemed extremely thin for a waterproof shell. Due to the fit and color issues I knew I would be returning it so didn't do the gear test in the rain, but I am doubtful it would stand up to a rainstorm

I usually wear a Women's Medium in MH jackets, but this was considerably longer and looser than my others (all of which I love and wear regularly!). This one also had a kind of puckering of stitches right at breast level which was not flattering. Not what I was hoping for

 If you'll be backpacking or commuting in a downpour, look elsewhere - the material soaks through. Kudos to MH for their wonderful warranty - they gave me a full refund to purchase different gear.
