Unfortunately, I must return the knife. With all knives it is the "grip" that defines the usage. I was reluctant to order online without being able to hold and maneuver. I am sure that had it “fit” it would have been fine

The grip in advance but cannot if you buy online.

 It is light weight & easier to use for me than our chef knife. I’m 5’2” and have little hands. We are much happier with the replacement.

Had to replace my first order due to the fact that it was not sharp enough & there was a flaw in the handle. My husband is a chef and he did lots of research on knives. I went through and researched a ton of knives, read a lot of user comments on Amazon, and decided to purchase this as an anniversary gift for my boyfriend (and myself) since we cook just about every night of the week. If you haven't bought a nice knife in your life, this knife definitely cuts through almost anything like butter and is a great start to a decent knife collection. Don't use this for bones and similar cutting jobs, that is a job for a different type of knife and get this professionally sharpened. We've had it for almost a year and it's 85% as sharp as when we bought it

Amazing knife!

 Just be careful, the tip of the blade is extremely fragile as I have unfortunately already found out. Nothing a little stone sharpening can't fix.
