I personally use the [Microsoft Sculpt ergonomic both because of the contoured shape and because the number pad is split so I can put it to the right of my mouse, which allows me not to spread my arms as far during normal use. Really helps my right shoulder and elbow.

I know it was when I was a student :P. Otherwise I got an ErgoDox EZ for programming work. Very nice keyboard as well, but I'll have to say the tenting on the ED EZ doesn't make up for the amazing negative tilt of the MS Sculpt Ergo.
