I don't like the micro mini, but mainly because I think it makes a weird proportion that makes the wearer look like they're squeezed into a child's outfit.

I wore the low rise minis during the early aughts and feel I don't have to go there again but if I did, [Cameron Diaz](http://imgur.com/a/Mv3fAqe) would be my late 30s/early 40s inspo for short hemlines. I see that she's mainly wearing well made, cocktail styles that are dresses rather than skirts AND she has a great figure with long legs. I do like the confidence of women showing off a fit body at 40+. Diane Kruger also inspires me, she hasn't given up on fashionable clothing but she takes the effort to make it work on her.

  


Anyway back to micro-minis, mean girls style - they are cute and hella nostalgic.

  


I also think it's funny how when 90s styling peaked, the 2000s were the next thing lined up and i'll put money on 2010s after that (hang onto the skinnies, skater skirts, they'll be back).

Casual thoughts on micro-mini trend

I’ve ordered 2 of these scooters now for my girls and the back break has fallen off of them both. The metal piece snaps so you are not able to repair. Very disappointing especially that it’s happened with each one we’ve ordered.

Took my daughter a while to get the hang of how to lean to turn. She kept going left and running off the driveway/ into my car/ the grass. Once she understood how it works she does better. The biggest issue with this (or any other 2 wheel in the front scooter) is that no meter how heavy duty (this one is pretty solid) it’s going to be easier for them to fall forward especially if they have their foot too far forward on the board

 If you hit a rock or stick, sidewalk crack, there’s a possibility of flipping because there is more weight in the front. I have to keep reminding my LO to keep her foot on the back of the board.

 Unfortunately, in 5 days, the rear wheel has already worn and the scooter no longer rolls smoothly. The scooter is now very bumpy when used, and it needs to be replaced already.

 This happened a few times with my daughter. The first time, I happened to be right next to her and I caught her before she flipped forward. The second time, she fell but it was very minor. The third time, she hit a bump on an uneven sidewalk and she fell forward, a full on face plant onto the sidewalk

  When the handlebars are at the highest setting, it actually locks into place. There is a small spring loaded button that gets engaged when the handlebars are all the way up. In order to lower it, you have to unclamp, and then press the button.  Warning: this scooter is prone to flipping forward when trying to go over a bump

 Great for teaching them balance. Great for their learning towards skateboard. Very sturdy built and looks like a million bucks ! Totally worth every penny. I originally bought the one with most reviews and turned out that it was an older model with one height

Best kids scooter out there

 I'm SO glad I read so many reviews on the Micro Mini Deluxe Scooter, because we have not been disappointed! She LOVES it! She is able to maneuver it with ease and within a few days was riding faster and steadier than she ever did on her Razor that we had for a year! She often asks to take this on our walks to the park rather than her bike. The way the front wheels pivot using suspension is fantastic and she is able to turn without stopping, getting off, turning her scooter around, etc. My daughter is not particularly adventurous, but she is even going down hills on this because she feels able to control it! I was thinking of the future when ordering this, and at first I ordered the one without the adjustable handle and immediately cancelled and placed an order for this one with the adjustable handle and I'm glad I did. I know she will use this for many years

Like so many others, I was hesitant to spend this much money on a scooter for my 4 year old, especially considering that she already has a bike and motorized car. But, she really wanted a scooter, and after getting a cheaper 3 wheeled Razor (with the two wheels in the back) which she felt very unstable on and literally never asked to use, I knew we needed a better option.
