looking for a Tripod

I bought this tripod for a trip to Iceland. It was cold and wet there plus we were around a lot of ice, rain and sand. I experienced a lot of problems with the release plate on multiple occasions. I do not know if the metal expanded because of the cold or what but I struggled to get the plate to release which is frustrating when you are trying to change out lenses which were attached

Mixed thoughts

Looking for a fluid head with a 3/8th in mount. Will be using with a lightweight DSLR rig, no more than 5 lbs. Prioritize adjustability and fluidity.

Fluid head recommendations under $200

Bought the BeFree carbon fiber tripod with the 494 ball head. It’s a nice and light tripod, but I was bummed to see there is no level bubble in the tripod head. For a ball head, losing the orientation is so easy and I am really not sure on how they missed not putting a level bubble. No idea for an user to know if their equipment is level

I bought a Manfrotto befree aluminum years ago to be cheap and because it’s still light compared to the carbon version. This is my travel setup to complement an old Manfrotto heavy duty deal. It’s held up really well for quite a while and holds heavier gear than I would have thought possible.

Is Peak Design Travel Tripod worth it? (Aluminium) Any better option for a travel tripod?

After a lot of research, I chose this as my travel tripod for general travel, but also for backcountry landscape photography. It may not be as light as the carbon fiber options out there, but it also costs a lot less than those. It packs up small enough for me to secure it to a daypack. I like the lever locks on the leg segments rather than twist locks

A good value tripod

New tripod plate doesn’t fit EOS RP with 24-240mm lens. Help?

 (200pl-pro quick release plate). Also the description stated it would be the lever lock system not the twist lock one that I got. Not off to a great start Thankfully the tripod i previously got has the same size quick release plate so with minimal alteration i could make that one work. Manfrotto Befree Carbon has lasted me forever. I've had to replace one of the feet once, but it's an awesome tripod. The only thing that's a little weird about it is the ballhead attachment to the camera, but once you know it, it's awesome.

 some things I have noticed that I do not like about it is that it can be a pain removing the camera from the tripod. The camera mount will at times seem stuck in the tripod and the unlocking mechanism hard to operate but this could just be because it's not worn in..

 I'm not sure. When the tripod is fully extended and on uneven ground it is slightly bouncy (due to its construction and weight of the camera). I definitely wouldn't use this fully extended on a windy day because of how light the tripod is it will vibrate/shake. Other than that it's been a great tripod
