 13 meter radius turn, 126.90, 112 waist, tip and tail, has a low tip rocker, a flatter

 tail without giving up any performance or excitability. It is a fun, lively ski for

 that athletic woman who loves to carve up the front of the mountain and have a ton of fun.

 Unique to Liberty, we were the first ski company to come up with a bamboo core. All of our skis

 It definitely doesn't line up with the rocker so that widest part is way ahead of where the rocker profile starts. That leads to more playful feeling in the ski as well as pretty good response. You see that pretty dramatic taper in the tail as well really narrows out to the end here so that early taper, widest part is about here, again that rocker profile in the tail extends a little farther down into the ski creating that more playful feeling without losing a lot of energy especially in the tail because there is minimal splay here so you still get good energy out of the tail. That's going to give you, boost the fun factor of these skis to another level and when that's coupled with that vertical metal strut I think it really makes these Genesis 90s stand out amongst a pretty crowded field of that 88-90mm all-mountain ski

 Hey skiers, it's Bob with SkiEssentials.com.

 We've got a Liberty Genesis 90 for you today.

 Great lady ski, all-mountain freeride, you know, kind of has more of the shape of an

 all-mountain ski in terms of width, but then the construction and the profile and Liberty's

 overall kind of character put it more in the freeride aspect.

 So it's one of those skis that kind of blurs the line.

 The whole Genesis line in fact does that.

 This is the narrowest one, so the most on trail, the most kind of all-mountain on the

 But a couple of new things for this year that really make this ski pop, stand out, become

 you know a tester favorite and we've seen this before in the Origin series on the men's

 So the big thing is the upgrade to the VMT 1.0 core.

 So starting with the wood we get a blend of bamboo, poplar, and polonia.

 The polonia and the bamboo are on the lighter side and then the poplar is a little bit denser,

 What they do is they take a vertical metal strut which we've seen from the Evolve and

 the V-Series and they sandwich it between two poplar stringers running right through

 the middle cord of the ski and that single vertical metal strut does make a pretty big

 difference in terms of the dampness and stability of the ski.

 It doesn't make it that much stiffer than it was in the past but it definitely adds

 just that little bit of extra material to really keep the ski smoother, stable, a little

 bit better glued to the snow without taking away the playfulness of the ski and without

 Certainly that single metal vertical metal strut doesn't have the same weight as a full

 horizontal sheet or two so that keeps this Genesis 90 playful, light, great for the bumps

 and trees while adding that kind of on trail and carving prowess to the ski, increasing

 This one is the 158 and this thing generates a 13 meter turn radius so pretty short in

 the arc, definitely makes it easier in the bumps and trees anytime you have to make those

 shorter turns but the softness of the ski allows you to really open it up and vary your

 Where this ski really starts to stand out is in the profile as well as the taper so

 when we put them back to back here we still see some good positive camber underfoot.

 That gives you good energy in and out of the turn but like a lot of these Liberty skis

 we start to see this tip rocker profile really kind of drop down lower into the ski so when

 I decamber them the tip rocker starts about there so this amount of the ski is rockered

 low and gradual at first and then a little bit more flared at the end.

 That's going to give the ski more flotation.
