Excellent companion tool
I carry this tool with me daily. I use it frequently for work (stripping wires, cutting tape) and around the house for odd jobs. I like the non serrated blade as it sharpens easily and retains its edge. The pliers work well when needed. I rencently used the Philips screwdriver to adjust the bindings...

Bought it as a gift
My adult daughter lost her Leatherman last year so I bought her a new one for her birthday. I was able to have it engraved and that was a nice touch. She was very excited have a Leatherman again. I don't even look at other brands.

Leatherman Sidekick Review — Everyday Commentary
Great tool performance even if tool selection leaves something to be desired. Overall Score: 17. out of 20 I worked on this review for a long time
Holds up after 6 years of use
I bought this 6 or so years ago, and it's held up really well. All the tools are still useable, I sharpened the knife a few times, but everything else has held up. The wirecutters aren't replaceable, but that's standard for a lower tier Leatherman product. They work fine for thicker gauge electrical...

The Leatherman Sidekick Fully Tested & Reviewed 2022 | Gearweare.net
Not legal in all circumstances in the U.K. This is the second new tool from Leatherman which we've reviewed this year, and like the Wingman, the Sidekick is designed as a pocket-sized always-with-you accessory tool

Through bouts of heavy down pours, the bag held up. After a day and a half in Monteverde, I headed to the base of Arenal volcano for my final few days during the beginning of rainy season. I truly put the bag to the test while there. Over those days, the bag experienced multiple rainforest treks, a hike through the forest canopy during what was basically a monsoon, a half a day of canyoning and repelling through waterfalls, a night in the natural volcanic hot springs, as well as a 7 mile white water rafting trip through a level 3 to level 4 zone.

Leatherman Sidekick Multi-Tool Review
Conclusion. Leatherman describes the Sidekick and Wingman multi-tools as “entry-level,” but they’re certainly designed and built far better than this suggests. I am quite impressed with the Sidekick’s design and how well it performs, and definitely recommend it

Leatherman Sidekick Multi-Tool Review | EDC Ninja
Conclusion Despite its entry-level designation, the Leatherman Sidekick really and truly impressed us. We loved how it had the same sturdy, durable craftsmanship that other Leatherman tools came with. We loved the 15 locking tools which had something for everyone (from the fisherman in our group to our tradesman friend to handling various tasks in and around our garage)

Why are sidekicks so hard to get?
Sidekick is Yeti’s best accessory. I hade one long before having a Yeti that it could attach to. It’s perfect for keeping your stuff dry but accessible near the water.
