 So I still prefer the original to the intense, but it is just that bit stronger, but better for winter. I think you could layer it with the original perhaps for the evening. And it came in a bottle that had a sort of metallicy bronziness to it. So this new one, Lancome Edo Aura has a sort of pinky, whitey, rose gold back to the bottle

 And I love pear and fragrances because it's so refreshing, first quenching. It's a bit fruity, but it's not like sweet fruity. It's just really refreshing. And then the rose and the jasmine make it really feminine and it's really good for lasting

 I think it's a really good quality, good for lasting, pretty everyday fragrance. It is essentially a jasmine with a rose, but then loads and loads of fresh pear in there. And I love pear and fragrances because it's so refreshing, first quenching. It's a bit fruity, but it's not like sweet fruity

 And what I found is that they really didn't smell similar at all. If I blind smelled this new one, I would never have said it was in the Lancome Edo range. It really is a unique new fragrance. It's definitely a bit more sexy

I like that this came with another free sample of a different perfume as well as the one I ordered considering both samples were in 75 percent full. In the pic I printed to where it was full till just above the E. But.

 I was expecting the salt and rose, but on me I smell mostly musk. Actually the musk is most prominent, is the most prominent note on me throughout the entire fragrance. What I found with this is every single stage of this perfume, the top, mid and base dry down, it was mostly musk at the top and then the musk was supported by another accord. So the opening here is a burst of muskiness and a sweet clean shampoo kind of smell

 It's technically it's jasmine in here, but when I smell this I'm thinking of a mixture, a combination of different white flowers that are quite creamy and salty and musky. Now in the dry down of this perfume what I'm left with is mostly just a musk. So it has a little bit of sweetness in there, but it's mostly just the musk and the musk alone. It's quite harsh on my skin and it has like the sharpness about it, but that little tiny bit of sweetness in here kind of softens it a little bit, but mostly it's just like a cloud of musk and it could be just my chemistry

Lancome Idole Aura Review (2021) | Hit or Miss?

I bought this as a replacement for my wife's perfume and while the bottle is larger than her last one, the bottle is too thin to stand up on it's own and she has to lay it down. Luckily the stopper holds the perfume from spilling but it is not normal to lay the bottle down and it does not display well. I love the scent of this perfume!

I frequently buy samples of perfumes from other places. I have never received a sample bottle that is not completely filled until now. Both samples were filled only halfway.

Doesn't keep the scent very long.

This scent is fantastic and the longevity is incredible. My only complaint is about the design of the bottle. I don't know who designed it, and though I'm sure they were quite proud of themself (oh the sophistication lol), but it's not functional at all! I have to lay it down, because once I get it balanced and standing I fear as soon as someone breathes it will fall and break. So, if you don't care about laying it down or hiding it in a drawer somewhere, rather than displaying the bottle with your other perfumes, it is great
