[skin concerns] Help! more than 6 months of skincare and no results :(
I recommend using minimal products for now as others have pointed out (no azelaic acid, aha toner twice a week MAX, and add a hylauronic acid serum/toner), and use healing creams like la Roche posay cicaplast baume or those with ceramides. Do this for two weeks and if you notice an improvement then you’ll know it was a damaged barrier!.
Works well
I live in a very dry climate and recently had CO2 laser resurfacing done. This cream is a life saver. It’s rich, but spreads easily. Love it.

Heals anything fast! Amazing for after microneedling/IPL.
I had an IPL photo-facial followed by a SkinPen microneedling session and my face was tomato red, hot, and dry. Now, I’ve loved this cream for a while. I wish I could write a sonnet about it. It heals popped pimples, irritated tretinoin skin, cuts, scrapes, burns, you name it. So after the stuff the...

[skin concern] Turning 30 this year, started using Retinol this week. Decided to go with PC. I’ve started to experience the “Retinol purge”. My skin is flaking, sensitive, and burning. I know it’s normal but what products do you recommend during this transition to alleviate symptoms?
The La Roche Posay cicaplast baume B5 is super nice for irritated skin, i recommend it on top of your moisturizer. Makes a massive difference

La Roche Posay CICAPLAST BAUME Review - Is it Really That Good?
I think this is a really, really great product to reach for. There are so many other barrier support creams on the market, but I do think this is significantly different. When I use this on my skin, I find it dials back any irritation, any itchiness that you have in the skin almost immediately, which is amazing

[Discussion] Your Effective Skincare Routine for Damaged Moisture Barrier?
Left that for a few mins until it was about 3/4 absorbed and then topped it all off with a thick layer of La Roche Posay Cicaplast baume. At night I would slug with vaseline, while in the morning instead of vaseline I used a pure mineral sunscreen with no alcohol or fragrance or essential oils. How long it took to heal: 2 weeks.
HG for damaged skin
After learning of the abuses to my skin, a skincare aficionado would clutch her pearls in horror. Apricot scrubs. Too many alcohol-based cleansers. Over-exfoliting. BOAR HAIR BRUSHES! I brought out the bigger guns the worse my skin texture became, and then realized physical exfoliation was the devil...

[Shelfie] My anti-acne and anti-PIE shelfie, 6 months in the making :)
* **La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5** \- We all know and love her. Although overusing it can make my skin feel kind of dry, it absolutely contributed to the healing of my horrific actives breakout last year. In fact, considering I barely used anything on my face during that healing process (just moisturiser and SPF), I'd say this did most of the heavy lifting. It quells irritation like it's nothing, and makes me feel soft and protected.
Love it!
It has helped healed a cold sore below my lip. A little goes along way. My first aid to go to.

It’s completely non irritating and feels really hydrating on my dry and redness prone skin. It really is working well and my skin is getting that retinol “glow”.
