My current K2 Sight 18s (158cm twin tips) that I got in high school are not cutting it, and I need a new pair of skis. This coming season will I ski Vermont, NH, PA, and WV (I have been out West one time, but pretty much only stay on the east coast as I am in college and working through the summer to pay for skiing) and need a suitable pair of skis.

* K2 Sight 88 179 cm - a bit too park oriented?. * Armada ARV 86 184cm - seems these are a bit soft from reviews.

Otherwise there's classic park skis like the K2 Sight and Poacher or Line Blend and Chronic. Sight and Blend are softer and great for butters and jibs but not great for bigger jumps. Poacher and Chronic a bit sturdier but still fun on smaller features. Generally if you're not looking to go big you want something on the softer end that makes slower jib skiing more fun.

I would definitely go for the Sight - the profile that it has will still not have a steep learning curve, but it will help you progress further than the Merc will let you. The rocker on the nose and tail will help make turns smooth and easy, and the camber will help keep a solid feel once you start riding a bit harder.
