I think Yes has some good options as well, as someone else mentioned. I will vouch for the Jones Frontier, I ride the Explorer which was the Frontier pre-name change and to me it's an ideal do everything east coast board for what you describe. Unless it really softened up, I think it get's an undue progressing intermediates only type of classification. I've demoed many boards and it's still probably the one I can have most fun on all around, including good performance in powder and trees if sized correctly.

The twin advice you’ve been receiving is incorrect imo, they will not ideal in powder & trees. Jones Frontier/Explorer, Burton Hometown Hero, YES Pick your line, to name a few. If you can scoop a used or cheap powder deck….then get a Jones Mtn twin or other wider twin, like a YES The Greats. I’d still prefer a directional camber that can handle POW for Utah.

I will say I agree a lot of the boards don’t really appeal to me. I do want to call out the 2023 Jones Frontier. Absolutely beautiful
