It's very cozy. So that's why I think it's great for the winter time because it has that cozy, warm, fuzzy feeling.

It smells great, but it does, like it lasts 50 minutes and I don't smell anymore.

Edit: I reread your post and I think you might tend towards fresher scents, in that case I would say that a very safe bet would Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt as it is a pretty clean inoffensive smell. A touch sea salt but feels fresh and clean and seems to be a crowd pleaser and not at all hate-able and pretty hard to over spray.

Joe Malone wood sage and sea salt - this one makes me so frustrated. I adore the scent so much and I love wearing it. But the price! If they could make this in a version that lasted all day I’d be hooked for life.

Very small amount for the money. I wanted to try something different than my usual perfume. I wish I could have tried it before I bought it. It’s nice but not for me.

I wouldn't wear it to a formal gathering, but it's a great everyday fragrance that also layers super well with other fragrances.

Great opportunity to try out a new scent in travel size bottle! Reminds me of the late summer at the beach in New England..
