Instant Pot DUO Nova

So I absolutely love it! Overall, I am really, really happy with our purchase of this instant pot duo Nova.

So that's the Duo Nova. It's got a lot of nice features.

Of course I do. Instant Pot says it's safe to do so, and I have no reason not to believe them. And so far, 4 years in, it's been fine.

For the most part worked great. Had it for about two weeks and used it maybe a handful of times. But the self de-pressurizing function quit working last two times i used it, so I had to manually depressurize the pot but the food still came out great.

All the pot wants to do is revert to the "Beans" setting, no matter which key that I press. Cancel does not work, nothing else works, but it will set itself on "Beans" the second the pot is plugged in to the electric outlet. I unplugged and plugged it back in a few times. The pot consistently reverts back to the "beans" function and begins cooking even if I don't select anything.

Didn't love the consistency of my food after cooking with this. Very fast though!! Cooks a pot roast in about 45 minutes instead of the regular 8 hours.

I wanted to like this but after 3 uses I'm returning...there's no manual option, the lid is a bit fussy to lock, and it's not stainless steel!

The lock pin in the bottom of the lid actuates that clip as it slides over the sprocket shaped area around the top of the base. If there is no pressure than the skinny neck of the float pin allows to clip to move around it. If there's any pressure than the float pin valve is raised and its thicker bottom prevents the clip from moving past the hole. I would suspect that the majority of your issue is due to something either with the Steam Release Handle or the Float Pin Valve.

This was a replacement one for one I bought in 2016. The quality is no where near as good, and the control panel is AWFUL.
