 I think the perfume was gifted, talented and quite brilliant. The price, it smells very expensive, it is a very long-lasting, it's an excellent phenomenal fragrance but I do think it's overpriced simply because of the raw materials chosen. I'm going to give it a 1 out of 2. I personally think this would be fantastic at about £150-160 I think that's where it should sit but the marketing interestingly this has pushed it higher in price to masquerade it as oud

 Now Oud comes from the Argood tree and the Argood tree is based around all sort of South East Asia. What happens is the tree becomes infected with a fungus and the tree produces an immune response which is a bit like a resin or a balsam and the resin and balsam is Oud and the more infected the tree becomes the more better quality the Oud is and you have lots of different types of Oud depending on where it comes from and some can be quite barnyardy and some can be quite sweet and floral. There really is just such a massive difference but they all have a signature note to them and they all smell slightly dirty slightly balsam slightly animalistic that is at the core of all Oud. Once you smelt real Oud it is unmistakable and you can't make it through aroma chemicals you can sort of get a nuance of it and but you cannot get real Oud and I'm not particularly interested in using Argood Oil and I'm personally not interested in using aroma chemicals masquerading as Oud

 It's been about 12 hours since I did the review, it's about 11 o'clock at night. I've had a chance to really give this a good dry down and come up with my final thoughts. In the dry down it's very very interesting what happens. It smells quite similar to kyros after about five, six, seven, eight hours and on the 12th hour this doesn't contain any oud but I think this is the best assimilation of aroma chemicals and essential oils masquerading as oud I've ever smelt

 The smokiness is from the glacwood and from the suede compounds so I'm going to go through my final marks with you. I think this technically is one of the best aroma chemical assimilations I've ever smelt actually for masquerading as natural so if I could go higher than four I absolutely would because I think the technical ability in this is probably the finest I've ever smelt and to trick me with an oud I think is really phenomenal and as I said it's taken between 8 and 12 hours for me to detect that it really doesn't have oud in it but it undoubtedly smells quite curiosity so technically I think it's overall I think it's absolutely phenomenal. Perfumer Reviews 'Oud For Greatness' by Initio

 My name's Aaron, welcome back to my channel. How are you? I'm fantastic. Today I am reviewing

 Oud for Greatness and I have to say this was one of the most difficult fragrances to actually

 get and I tried getting it back in June directly from the company and for some reason it didn't

 come and then I tried another company and then it didn't come to me. And a few months

 ago I also tried to buy a Oud fragrance from a company in the UK, it just sounded amazing

 and they refunded me as well so I don't know really what's going on so I had to order it.

 I've just been into Manchester to pick it up so finally it is here. This is £250 for

 90ml. The notes are Lavender, Saffron, Nutmeg, Natural Oud Wood, Natural Argood Oil by Julian

 Musk and I don't know why you would put Argood Oil and Oud and the only way I can think is

 that you're trying to use a small amount of Oud and then balance it up with Argood because

 the cost is completely different. Oud for Greatness opens with a calming yet aromatic

 notes of Lavender, Saffron, Nutmeg before tailing into a heart of Oud Wood, Natural

 Argood Oil by Julian Musk ensures a mesmerising base.

 So what I've done, I actually have Argood essential oil and I actually have a little

 sample of Oud. I did a lot with Ouds, I've just bought 50ml of Oud of a really special

 Oud and that was £2,000 for 50ml. I'm going to do something with it next year I'm not

 sure what and I buy my Oud direct from the farm and I know it's Oud so I know my Ouds

 really really well and before I used to buy Ouds from a perfumer so I know different quality

 of Ouds. I have I think maybe four or five and I have Argood Oil as well. Now Oud comes

 materials so with Oud, Rose, Ambergris, Jasmine all these sort of absolutes I really know

 what I'm talking about because I buy a lot of it in my Oud bill is enormous per year

 but I particularly love using this raw material and manipulating it but as I said authentic

 Oud has a balsamic animalistic dirty smell to it at full concentration it is allergen

 free and it is not restricted to use on the skin so that means you can use it in quite

 high concentrations but the reason that companies do not use it is because it is outrageously

 expensive so I have never seen this fragrance ever what I'm actually gonna do this is I'm

 gonna put Oud on one arm and I'm going to apply it and then I'm going to see do we have

 our fragrance samples are we engaged with our high self let's get testing. I know nothing

 about this company when I step into reviews I don't research them at all actually because

 I want my mind to be very clear and I want to make my own mind up and use my own experience

 of the last 23 years to add my own point of view so here we go. So straight off this smells

 like a a Tom Fordy fragrance and it also smells like perfect tamale very interestingly. Okay

 so I understand why this is so popular because it is a Western interpretation upon using

 a very difficult raw materials the projection is beautiful the longevity is going to be

 beautiful I'll go through the notes what's in it initially I'm smelling isosuper and

 oakmoss raw materials combined with excitery ambers and ambroxan the sweetness there is

 a sweetness to it so there is vanillin and ethan mold hole in it. If you are ever unsure

 what I always try to encourage all of you to do out there is to start smelling single

 raw materials and really educate yourself because I want all of my unicorn family to

 be highly educated in the art of perfumery this is why you subscribe to me. There is

 eugenol in this which gives a clovey feel, absolutely patchouli, absolutely balsams,

 vertever, galac wood. It has some lovely leathery raw materials and some beautiful ambers in
