And did it with an older Pragel too. I used both as a counter height dining tables so I needed the adjustable Olov but Adils is right for desk height. I was also afraid of sagging since they're so heavy so I put in a middle leg in both the height and width center and haven't had any sagging for about 5 years.

I saw your comment about worries of desk sag.

It may be worth looking into desk legs like the OLOV or ADILS from IKEA as a cheap and easy failsafe!

I also really dig the look of desk risers personally, and the extra leg room is great.

So bought a pair of OLOV legs to support the centre of my desk, however I've run into some very serious flaw in their design. When you set the height as marked on the legs, as soon as you go to tighten the legs by screwing them clockwise, the leg length becomes shorter meaning the height you want is now wrong. Extremely frustrating.

They are also compatible with 3 table top families, not just the Lagkapten. Edit 2: The Olov legs are adjustable height but can only support a weight of 28 lbs each. For a solid wood table top, that might not do. You could try as I can attest to its solidness, plus it looks like a better visual match.
