Hi guys, looking to upgrade my current desk situation. I plan on getting 2 Alex Drawer units from IKEA in black/brown (wish they made a pure black one but this will suffice) and putting a tabletop over it.

I came across the LINNMON tabletop because I'm looking for a BLACK tabletop (this is very important to me. My entire room has black furniture, and a natural wood-color tabletop would just be an eyesore in this room) but I keep hearing bad things about how cheaply it's made and that it warps/caves in easily under heavy weight. So that's certainly out of the question for me.

It seems the GERTON is the most sturdy option from IKEA as far as tabletops go, but to go through the length of manually finishing/staining it black myself seems almost impossible due to it being freezing winter right now. (and I wouldn't have anywhere else to do this besides just outside.) Having it done professionally also seems like it would be extremely expensive.

Basically, I'm looking for a black sturdy tabletop that can handle 3 monitors mounted (I planned on doing 2 monitor clamps. 1 single and 1 dual. Or I can do 3 singles, I really don't mind. I'll even take the last resort of having a monitor arm stand instead of a clamp), and that can also handle the weight of my pc being on top.

I'm looking for it to be 60" in length, and anywhere between 24"-30" in depth. I unfortunately can't have any tabletop longer than 60" due to space issues.

It seems also impossible to find a sturdy black tabletop to set on top of IKEA's Alex drawers, honestly the color requirement is really making this hard for me, but it's a must.

Would the BEKANT from IKEA suffice? If not, are there maybe any kitchen countertops that are black from other sites such as Home Depot that would be good? I don't mind which site or brand it is, as long as it's sturdy, black, and reaches my size requirements.

If anybody can help me with finding something along these lines, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you so much in advance!
