HiSense A5

I have been using HiSense A5 as my primary phone for about 2-3 weeks now. I simply LOVE IT!. \- I love it that screen is always on, showing the time like a clock. \- I love it that I can actually see what's on the screen when I am outside (I spend a lot of time outside and in the sun).

I loved my Hisense A5 Pro. So so much.

I own a Hisense A5, and am about to receive a Xiaomi Inkpalm 5. IMO they’re too small for standard manga, and they’re the wrong aspect ratio. I use a Boox Nova for manga (same size as most source material). A 6” poke would be ok, but they’re more fragile.

The Hisense A5 (and 6 and 7) are e-ink phones that would do what you wanted and you could just keep them in airplane mode with the wifi on, you could look for used ones on eBay. For something slightly larger consider the Onyx Poke (possibly used) or the Mobiscribe (which is also a writing tablet).

I own a Hisense A5 Pro CC and I am not very happy about it. Its lack of Google Play services and the trackers installed on it make it unusable for me as a primary phone.

Literally any ereader that runs android. I used hisense A5 since its pocketable and I was doing Anki reps every few hours. Amazing learning tool.

Hisense A5 is 5.84 inches. It's technically a phone, but it works great as an ereader that fits in your pocket. The pro version is the same size.

Looking to sell a Hisense A5, originally purchased from CECT-shop. But it's got a known glitch: if you reset it, it will lock itself and demand a six-digit numeric code you never put in, and then you have to do a very long and annoying procedure to get working again. (LONG AND ANNOYING PROCESS HERE: I've done the Long and Annoying Process and it works, but because of both the problem and the fix, I wouldn't consider this phone secure or reliable.

if you are google dependent, only Hisense A5 or A5c is the choice at the moment. I think A7 will be released globally if you can wait.
