I would say that it does smell cold in the cap or on paper, so maybe it's a skin chemistry thing that causes this different impression. **Hermes Terre d'Hermes Parfum** - This is what I'm wearing today. Citruses aren't always my favorite, but I ordered a sample because I noticed that Terre d'Hermes is often mention when people discuss vetiver and I do love a good vetiver.

Unlike eau fraiche version from Amazon, this one actually smells the same as Neiman marcus version. See my other review of terre fraiche for more details. Seems online fragrances always a crapshoot, but possibly deserved when saving a lot of money.

Personally: Terre d'Hermes! It's a classic, and generally understood to be a unisex scent, but it still mostly reads as a masculine scent to the GP. TdH is so beautiful, earthy, and warm, though - one of my personal signatures as a woman and a frequent compliment-netter. Suitable for year-round (albeit leaning winter), designer priced, and fine for both day/night.

Absolutely useless fragrance. Also 99% of the male fragrance stuff at sephora. I enjoyed Fahrenheit and Terre d'Hermes, but that was about it. I was expecting to like jazz club and by the fireplace but they were so dainty and light compared to favorites like aramis and yatagan.

Ooh, yesss. As a woman, I love vetiver and fougeres as well as powdery fragrances, so... Terre d'Hermes, Nishane Sultan Vetiver, Nishane B-612, Carner D600, Dior Homme (Original), Ormonde Jayne Man, Amouage Reflection Man, Amouage Beach Hut Man, and Xerjoff Naxos (would we count Nio as marketed to men?) all fit this bill nicely!.
