Gregory Juno H20 Women's Backpack Series

 Note: even though my Samsung S9+ with a thin case would fit inside the side pocket when the pocket is lying flat, they wouldn't fit when worn on the body due to the curved nature of the waist line.  Con: this is a major one for me. The shoulder straps are uncomfortable: the end of the padded straps and the buckles form a hard bulge that rub against my inner upper arms and side breast area, right below the armpits. I have never experienced this with other Gregory day packs before

 The back mesh support frame is superb and rare for hiking pack this size. Weight is on the heavy side but not as heavy as similarly ventilated packs of this size on the market, and once properly fitted it doesn't feel heavy at all, even when fully loaded. No zigzag compression straps on the side mesh bottle pockets which is a huge plus. On my Osprey pack I have to remove them because all they do is getting in the way

 Something about the shape/length of the padded shoulder straps didn't work out for me. They curve too much toward my armpits compared to my Osprey pack. If it's slightly forward a bit I probably wouldn't feel the bulge. I have only worn the pack indoors

First off, I love this pack - it has plenty of room for a 3 season dayhike for everything I'd want/need.  Only downsides are I wish the exterior zip pocket was deeper to carry my first aid kit and not have it buried in the main compartment, and I wish Gregory would make a S/M and M/L in this pack like their larger packs..

Great pack, but doesn't fit me

 The hip belt zipper pockets are too small for my phone. The way the zippers go all the way down the sides of the main compartment makes it difficult to rummage around in the pack without dropping items and makes it so even though it's a 24 L pack which should be plenty big for a day hike where you need snacks and layers, it feels very cramped. There are no additional internal organizational features inside the main compartment which can make it difficult to find things. The attachment for trekking poles is positioned weirdly so they flop around

Disappointed

I find the women's backpacks aren't long enough. I'm a 19" back, and it's on the high end of women's, but in the middle for a man. I have a couple women's backpacks, and they just don't fit lengthwise or my shoulders. So I decided to try a mens

 My only problem is disconnecting the chest strap buckle. It was okay, now I'm having trouble getting it to open. That is very frustrating. It doesn't buckle, it kind fits in and it's hard to open

5 miles and 8 hours, water got into the pack and there were damp areas. Luckily I stored important documents in ziplock bags. Gregory should really include rain covers if they expect avid hikers to use this regularly. Otherwise, great and well designed pack

Took this on a 6 day hike of the Camino Portuguese. Had a shuttle for my luggage and used the pack for daily hikes of 14-20 miles. Light weight, easy to use, bladder very user friendly and magnet was a nice addition to hold the bite valve for easy access. Really like the bag and will use for daily hikes

Love this little pack! Taken it on many a day hike of various lengths. My only complaints are that the strap for the trekking pole doesn't quite hold the pole in place and that I wish it came with a rain cover. Otherwise, I love the fit, the size is perfect for some layers, snacks, and water, and the hydration bladder is easy to use and easy to clean. I love the extras like the magnetic clip for the hydration hose and the sunglasses quick-stash on the shoulder
