Overall, I think that Gregory Baltoro has done a wonderful job with this backpack, and at 300, this is a good valued backpack.

The Gregory Baltoro 75 (Or possibly 85 for winter overnights with kids) is my go to pack for Dad's and Scout leaders. It tends to fit a Dad bod well, fits extra gear for kids and has a really solid warranty plus they just did a redesign with improvements to fit.

The ONLY reason it didn't get five stars is the fact that the zippered pouches on the belt are on the small side leaving me no where easy to store a phone. I could barely fit anything but some small snacks in there. I had to just put my phone in my shorts pocket, which I didn't really like. It would...

I cannot recommend the Baltoro line from Gregory enough. You will find it in 65 and 75 liter (I have the 75) and both have the lower compartment/opening. Its a heavier pack, but the features and comfort are second to none. The hipbelt takes 80% of the weight, and the pack fits me like a glove.

Generally speaking, this is an excellent bag but it is not the most recent model. Sturdy, comfortable, lightweight. I recently used took the pack out when I was testing some new hiking boots, and I loaded the pack for a max load of 55 lbs. Once I got the back adjusted, the weight fell right onto my hips... it was great. My new boots also performed well - I had a few hot spots, but it was a great run.
