I started learning a few years ago on a 2018 Gnu Chromatic and would now consider myself a low intermediate rider: I can link all my turns (but they're still probably more skidded than carved) and can do so on the groomed "black diamond" trails at my small local Ice Coast hill; I’m sure our blacks would be an easy blue at many other places. If I get lucky I’ll see a couple inches of powder on a few days a season, so having a pow board isn’t that important to me. I don’t really have plans to go elsewhere besides my little hill, and also don’t consider myself to be particularly athletic or in the best shape. I just like to make turns down the hill, though I have tried doing some butter tricks on occasion, with varying degrees of success (not much).
