Giant Trance

All right Sarah, It is time to wrap up our review of Giants Transex. So I want you to tell me who it suits and the type of terrain that it belongs on....

So, currently have a Giant Trance 29 3, which has 130mm in the front, 115mm in the rear, both of which I'm bottoming out on my local Enduro trails. I have been riding the local Enduro trails a lot this year, steep, rocky, rooty, with some jumps.

To that extent, I suggest 2021 Trance. In general, Giant has a good reputation to build bikes bang of your buck.

Oh and hydraulic disc brakes! Dropper posts! You're in for a treat! I've got a Giant Trance, and I love it! Giant makes solid bikes.

You'll have choices to make, like SRAM or Shimano.

….. Giant/Liv. The Giant Trance in particular (the hard tails aren’t bad). I do really like their gravel bikes though!!

Same thing with the Giant Trance X. Decent bike, but with sram SX. At least the price is really good.

Id take a look at the Giant Trance 29 or Trance Advance 29... not to be confused with the Trance X. Like Ibis, it uses a variation of the DW Link suspenion system they call Maestro. It is an excellent pedaling platform. Extremely efficient.

If you wanna stick with 27.5 wheels another decent option is the Giant Trance, can even get them used for cheap, with the Fox & SLX configuration. Also, if you ever wanted a carbon frame and wheel bike, one of the cheapest ones you can find is the Trance Advanced, both new and used. Maestro platform is considered decent all around linkage, and the conservative geometry sounds like it would fit you better.

Giant trance 3 is one of the best bangs for your buck, vitus mythique vrs as well. If you want to up the budget, I've heard great things about the ibis ripley af.
