The stove top works well at about a 4 star. You have to be careful when using the front burners because average sized pans are too small for such large burners. I'm sure they put them in front to dispense the heat they put out. The simmer and normal output burners are in the back which make it awkward to reach

 I noticed on both the lower and the upper that the back of the oven is hotter. The bottom oven has convection but since you don't use convection when baking certain items, like cakes, this is a problem. See the photo of the cake edge. The problem with this is that you cannot open the oven and turn the cakes without risking them falling and ruining in the process

 16, I re-installed it on Jan 23rd. My wife bake a loaf of bread today and it is beautiful. If the control board does not fail again then I do not see any reason to not be very pleased with this stove.

 The Bosch double oven offers a fast preheat option, six rack heights, and a pizza and pie mode. The Whirlpool double oven also comes with six rack positions, but it offers a rapid preheat setting like the Bosch model. I would like to see a fast preheat option in the GE oven. Otherwise, I'm not overly impressed with the features on these other ovens

 When it's preheating, the LED strip pulses and when it's finished, the bar turns solid red. I love this feature, but there's one caveat. The status bar only works for the upper oven. Still, it's a unique addition that might actually make it easier for you to check on your food when you're in the kitchen, but can't quite see the timer

 I would like to see a fast preheat option in the GE oven. Otherwise, I'm not overly impressed with the features on these other ovens. Good stove  but....

I've had my stove for about a month and I have used the range and the top oven.  Thankfully, I haven't had any of the problems that some of the other reviewers had immediately.  The lights all work, the temperature seems to be accurate and consistent and I haven't had any uneven baking yet.

So one other thing that I didn't see anywhere in the reviews or the product write ups is that you should have a considerable amount of clearance on both sides of the stove.  I have a small apartment kitchen and the powerful 18k BTU burners are so strong that the heat from the flame heats up the wall immediately next to it and I'm concerned it ultimately may damage the paint and possibly cause a fire at some point.

I do agree with one reviewer who said if you drag your pots across the grates they will scratch and look terrible.  I've been conscious of that since seeing it in a review and agree completely - PICK UP YOUR COOKWARE off the grates.

Great cooking, but control panel is disappointing

That seems quite ridiculous, since most people will never even need to replace an oven light in 15 years.  TWICE in 7 months tells us there's a problem  with the electrical that has NOT been addressed by GE.

This is a really great oven, especially with the added convenience of being able to use double oven.  Cooking in oven is even, be careful when using both racks in lower oven, rotate food halfway through cooking, because top rack with brown faster because it is closer to heating element.
