Having said that I have an upgraded Flair Neo with a Lido E which is similar in terms of price but the quality is on par with my local Starbucks or Blue Bottle Coffee so I think its pretty good for $300.

if you can swing it i'd go for a flair neo ($120) or classic $150. it'll provide you a better quality of life, better espresso, and the ability to pull really good shots in the future if you get a good grinder.

I do, I have a upgraded Flair Neo. I love it, I don’t see myself upgrading to a semi automatic machine. I don’t steam milk or drink milk drinks at all. It works fabulously with my workflow and I steam the water chamber on top of my kettle in a ceramic v60.

The value is unreal - better espresso than most coffee shops at a fantastic price point. Really portable and super easy to use. Only gave it four stars because Amazon said it would be "white" but it was the "grey" model. I actually love the look, just seemed to be an error on the Amazon side.

There's a couple of options. You buy a grinder and a manual espresso maker like the Flair. Or something like a sage Bambino, or you go big and spend a butt load of money.

For $200, I would recommend the Flair Neo, you can start with it as just stock, it will make thin passable espresso with preground beans because it has a pressurized portafilter. For cream, try a nanofoamer.
