Finacea Gel

I've been using it for 20 days in combination with the galenic gel and no more cysts!. I'm dealing with PIH with Finacea Gel 15%, that I apply everyday in the morning over a thin layer of Bioderma Sébium Hydra.

As I am currently on Tretinoin, I like to be super simple in my skincare routine in the mornings. My skincare routine in the morning is; Cleanse with Cerave Moisturizing cleanser, Finacea Azelaic Acid 15% Gel, Ceramol 311 Face Lotion, and then Sunscreen. On days I need extra antioxidant protection, I love the Norman UV-Cure , as it includes Ascorbic Acid in the formulation.

Finacea gel 15% azelaic acid is otc in pharmacies in Italy. It's a very nice and effective azelaic acid cream, useful if you are suffering from rosecea and/or melasma. It sinks into the skin nicely and overall a great formula, I would recommend it over any commercial brand aa.

The biggest game changers for me have been tretinoin, spironolactone and azelaic acid (Finacea gel in particular - I couldn't stand the texture of Azclear and if that was my only choice I wouldn't use it at all). I also got electrolysis on my facial hair which helped immensely with skin texture and ingrown hairs. I have pretty oily skin but the spiro has helped get that under control.

You should also try to use a moisturiser at night, as acne treatments can make your skin feel a bit more dry than usual. Applying a moisturiser at night can help prevent your skin becoming too dry from using actives to treat your acne. Some of my favourite products for acne prone skin are CeraVe Foaming Cleanser, Finacea Gel (a chemical exfoliant), Benzac AC 2.5% benzoyl peroxide treatment, Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid (highly recommended for blackheads, you can buy it online from Paula’s Choice Australia) and Moo Goo Blemish Cleansing Moisturiser.

Get Finacea! It’s 15% AA but the consistency is much better than TO and it gets absorbed quickly. TO gave me blackheads.

Finacea is prescription-free in Italy.

I would go with Finacea.

You will get better results than PC’s or TO’s.

I’ve tried all three and will continue using Finacea.

Finacea Gel ($29/Chemist Warehouse) is less pilling than Azclear. If you wanted an alternative to the azelaic acid, Paula's Choice Calm 1% BHA is 1% salicylic acid in a light lotion. As for Vitamin C ... if you have rosacea and sensitive skin, start with a 10% formula.

I haven’t used azclear, I ordered finacea gel from a local pharmacy because I had read other reviews that said it pills less, and in my experience it works well with any other skincare I’ve used it with, no pilling
