 If you grow roses like I used to, you know the importance of clean cuts.  I tried to adjust the position of the anvil by loosening the two screws and pushing the anvil toward the pivot point. This helped somewhat with straight cuts, but certain diagonal cuts till left slivers of uncut plant material.  I expected better performance from this Felco after spending $50 on it

 I went through two, and within a little over a year, both ended up with broken springs. I decided then to invest and purchase Felco Anvil pruners since many consider them to be the best. While the pruner cuts through woody and succulent plant material like the Troy-Bilt, many of the cuts leave a sliver of plant material uncut, necessitating a second effort. It can become aggravating when you are doing a lot of pruning

 But no - they don't break beyond repair (usually) and they are made of quality material. You can either pony up and buy a pair of Felcos or you can buy the 'el-cheapo' brands over and over and over and..

  Felco quality is still, as of this date (Nov 2020), exceptional. If all you've ever done is buy those janky garden shears from your local nursery or big-box - then you've no idea what real quality is.  I'm fully aware that I sound like a schill right now. But you need to understand that after buying my first pair of Felcos - I've NEVER had to buy another pair of garden shears

 They are build to be able to take them apart and oil/grease the bits and adjust them to your liking and then put them back together again. If all you've ever done is buy some crappy Fiskars or whatever then when you buy a pair of Felcos you'll wonder what the hell you were ever thinking. Felcos are LEGIT.  Yes, they're not cheap

 Felco's higher price, then, saves me money over time when I can replace a part without having to buy a new pair. It's also an environmentally smart idea, keeping what works and replacing the small part that doesn't, for less waste. Do your hands, pocketbook, and planet a favor and don't skimp. It's a huge value in the long run

Great pruner, but compare this "large size" to the Felco F-6 for a smaller hand. The only reason that I did not give this pruner 5 stars is the incomplete description. The F-2 is the "large" size of this pruner, while the smaller size is the F-6 (sells for a few dollars less). I bought this for my wife

 I am going to pick up the F-2's for me.  These are extremely sharp and cut/trim her rose bushes like it's butter. She enjoys using them. Once I get my F-2's I'll post comparison pictures in the review since I had a hard time deciding since I couldn't find pictures of them side by side

These are small.  Perfect for small hands but normal size hands should get the F-2's

  The handle coating looks like it will last REALLY well. Most of my pliers they always seem to slip/slide off over time. These seem to be somewhere between a powder coat and plastidip. Never seen a handle like this, even on PB Swiss tools

So far very nice.
