 Hey, I'm James from In the Snow and I've just been testing the Faction Prodigy 3. Now I can understand why most of the Faction riders ride this ski because it's absolutely incredible. Written within the DNA of Faction, it's all about accessibility and just having an awesome playful ski and this is exactly it. When you're at high speeds, you can really let it rip

InTheSnow review the Faction Prodigy 3.0 skis at the SIGB's ski test in Kuhtai March 2022.

James says he loves them, they are an awesome playful ski, high speed they can really rip, they're  stiff and don't chatter at all, at 106 under foot they take a little longer to get onto edges but it's just a nice big carve and equally they can handle the shorter turns too.

It's fatter at the top so it's great in the crud and the graphics really are awesome - £549 without bindings so great value for money.

 When you're at high speeds, you can really let it rip.

 It's stiff, it doesn't chatter around and it really gives you that confidence.

 Being 106mm underfoot, it obviously takes you a little bit longer to get on your edges

 but once you do, it's just a longer, easier, cruiser carve and it's just a deeper edge.

 In terms of the short turns, it's really agile and nimble.

 It's a little bit fatter at the top than it is the tips which is perfect for initiating

 the turn, especially going through all that crud, it really takes the effort away from

 And also, the graphics are pretty sick too, so if that's the sort of thing that you like,

 these Factions are an awesome option for you.

 So they are £549 and that is without the bindings, so that's a hell of a lot of ski

 So yeah, that's the Faction Prodigy 3, go check them out.

Sick! I’m in the same boat, four years of renting and I’ve picked up a pair of faction prodigy 1.0s - just praying ski season isn’t cancelled here in Europe now

After 4 years of renting I finally got my first set up

 These are so much fun, I was going through the trees, down the groom runs, super responsive, super playful, but still stiff, a lot of power in them. I took these through the trees and surprisingly they were super maneuverable, I was able to get through a lot of quick little turns, then I took them out on the groom run and I started to open the mumps. They were great for dodging beginners too. Yeah, I would recommend these to kind of advanced athletic skiers, they're probably too heavy of a ski for a beginner, for an athletic intermediate wanting to get better, they could probably hop on these and have a good time, especially if they enjoy the park

 If you're a lightweight skier or you're not really committed to engaging your shins and driving a ski, this ski is probably too much for you. You want to be a solid intermediate on this, just because it likes to kind of go straight more than small turns, so I would not recommend this ski for beginners. I also would not recommend this ski for someone who's only looking for on trail performance because you're paying for more versatility here and you might as well use the versatility. 2022 Faction Prodigy 2.0 Ski Review | Curated - YouTube

 I am a ski expert and I just got done riding the Faction Prodigy 2.0.

 I am completely unaffiliated and unsponsored by any ski company, so the advice or the information

 It's a fun ski, really damp, really quick, really fun for a day like today when most

 of it's hard packed and you just want to rip.

 I could see someone that really enjoyed going fast skiing the hard pack but also liked to

 goof around in the park, really enjoyed these skis.

 Really deep soft snow, I would stay away from that, but other than that they did great in

 the trees, they did great in moguls, but they're just not big enough for the softest days.

 Any time that you get into the air with these, they're really, really stable, you really

 feel them underneath your legs and they're just really easy to slap that landing down.

 I was expecting it to be more of like a freestyle, super duper playful, like it just wants to

 spend all its day in the park, but actually it really holds its own on groomers.

 It carves really well, there is no chatter at all.

 It's a strong ski, it likes to do nice big wide arcing turns, you know, with a solid

 intermediate and above you should be able to get it to turn pretty quickly, especially

They are very excellent all arounders, have a wide range of din settings, have a very low stance on the ski, are extremely durable, and because they are MNC (Multi-Norm Compatible) they can accommodate standard adult Alpine Boots, WTR (Walk to Ride) boots, and Gripwalk Touring boots. So they can take just about any boot you wish in them.
